Our road is very steep. Parking is limited, so trailers are NOT permitted. Our recently remodeled home is perched on a hillside, offering stunning views of Creede and the iconic Creede Cliffs. Guests can soak in the morning sunshine and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. The prime location is just a short walk from Creede's Main Street, where you'll find charming shops, cozy restaurants, and the renowned Creede Repertory Theater. This home blends rustic charm with the modern comforts of a mining cabin. Enjoy a restful night’s sleep in the main floor bedroom, featuring a queen bed, or in the upper loft area with a double bed and two twin beds. Relax indoors in this cozy retreat, or step outside to unwind and breathe in the fresh mountain air on the front patio. This home offers the perfect small-town escape. Bed Configuration: 1st Bedroom - Queen Bed (Main Floor) 2nd Bedroom - Two (2) Twin Bed and One Double Bed (Upper Floor Loft)-The stairs to the loft are steep. This home is pet-friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs, and the pet fee is $40/day (for a maximum of $250 per stay). Whether you're planning a relaxing vacation, a peaceful fishing retreat, or a scenic adventure, our Hilltop House is the perfect home base for your stay. Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance. Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s. Book 7+ nights and a 10% discount is automatically applied (does not apply during Christmas/New Years and 4th of July holidays). Please Note: For guests staying with us for 30 days or more, we require the property to be cleaned every 30 days. It was very clean and we appreciated the large bathroom with a washer and dryer. There is only one railing on the very steep stairs to the sleeping loft. The house is great. It's listed as a 1 bedroom but the loft area is big enough for 4-5 adults. They mention in the listing that the driveway is steep and that isn't a joke. We required 4x4 every day when we left or returned. That was with or without snow on the ground. We parked on the bottom a few days until after grading (was challenging getting down the hill with the loose gravel and a pleasant but good workout trek up the hill), then my cousin could drive up the hill. The written details for the house do say 4 wheel drive or SUV or something but we figured we could try it anyway. We loved walking to the theater and another downtown events from the house. Highly recommend this quaint and rustic home for your next stay in Creede. Just a note for access: 3rd Street going up the hill is closed. The only access to the house is from Capital Street. The ascent to the house is very steep and not marked. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed 3 nights at this lovely little cabin above Creede. There are only two of us so the size was perfect. The bathroom was very nice and spacious. Kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. We sat out and drank coffee on the porch in the morning and that was so lovely. Such a neat place and very clean. There is very good communication with the property owner and that was appreciated. Cons: I hate smart tv's and would love to just turn the Tv on and go to a channel for background noise. We didn't spend much time in the living room anyway because Creede has so many wonderful outdoor activities.
