Nestled on the banks of the Saône (protected area in "Natura 2000 Zone" for its rich flora and fauna, particularly ornithology), Crêches-sur-Saône has all the amenities (large shopping area located away from the village) as well as numerous sports and leisure facilities including a renowned lake (Port d'Arcia leisure center with supervised swimming and numerous activities) and benefits from a magnificent hilly wine-growing landscaped setting, combining splendid vineyard hillsides and vast wild forests, rich in sublime panoramic viewpoints over the Val de Saône, the Alps and as far as Mont-Blanc on a clear day!
