« The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay! »

« Hotel is undergoing renovations and on its way to being updated on 9/27/26. When we arrived, we thought they were closed by the black tarp in the foyer on the other side of the entry way. We were able to call and got the front desk who talked us in. Hot tub was warm and bubbling, not very hot. Shower had adequate pressure and got warm quickly. Bed was comfortable and the room had recently been done. Smelled very clean. Facility not far from the interstate. Feel it is a good place to stay....

« The room was small, but in good condition. As an alumni, I loved the decor in the room and hotel. It was also nice to have a refrigerator and microwave on the room. The amenities were also great! I loved the shuttle I was able to take to get dinner downtown. My room also came with breakfast that was surprisingly tasty and free parking. »

« Great for people familiar with RV life. There were a couple of items that took some figuring out. The host plans to write up some tips. »
