There was plenty of room for our group of 20 to spread out. The host was very quick to respond to any questions I had. There are a lot of stairs to get down to the water, but they have several benches/chairs to stop at with pretty views on the way down. I suggest bringing small backpack coolers to bring down to the water and keeping your large cooler on your boat before you put it in the water to save you the struggle. ##### Calie H. We had a great time in this house! It was clean and lovely, and stocked with so many thoughtful things that made our time - and our kids time - so fun and so easy while we were there. The only thing to be aware of is the just under 200 stairs you have to climb to get back to the house from the dock. The kids didn't mind, but it wasn't as easy for the grandparents! Also, the surrounding area is very rural, without any easy access to grocery stores or markets. So be sure to bring whatever food you need while you're there! ##### Casey M. We were excited to have the elevator so not knowing ahead of time was disappointing. The stairs down to the water were definitely more daunting than we had anticipated but the dock was terrific. We were able to ferry people from the house to Squirrels by boat to avoid the outside stairs issue for those who couldn't manage it. Aug 4, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy The house and the condition of the house is 11/10, zero complaints whatsoever. It was amazing, in fact. The only issue (and it ended up being a big issue) was that there are 190 steps down to the dock. This was more than my mother and stepfather could do (it’s about 10 flights of stairs for reference) so they literally couldn’t once go down to the dock. I do wish that was made more clear as it had a big impact on their trip but for those of us who are young and in shape, it was a quad burner but nothing we couldn’t get through multiple times per day. There is a marina around the corner so if you want to rent this house but have some guests who can’t walk up 10 flights of stairs easily, you could drive the boat around the corner and pick them up there but it’s a bit of a hassle. Other than that, the house had everything we could have ever needed or even dreamed of (I mean…a Harry Potter closet!). Maybe the listing does mention the stairs but I didn’t see it.
