Decent location, easy walk to Grassmarket, bus stops. Very basic apartment. Bathrooms could use an update.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in Edinburgh. We knew what to expect staying at one of the larger and cheaper hotels; younger groups, but this didn’t impact our stay. On the first night it was noisy, causing us disturbance at 12.30 - 2am with a group of young school girls running up and down the hall way. A couple of calls to the service desk and eventually they quietened down. The following day we asked to be moved to which they accommodated our request and moved us to the other side of the hotel where it was far quieter. The staff were helpful, albeit very little interaction given everything is self service. The location was ideal for us with just a short walk to the main area (10 mins). Not much of a view from our room but having said that we were only there for the sleep so not an issue. I would have no issue recommending the hotel other than to pre warning that it could be a little noisy with returning guests from late nights.
