We had a lovely family stay here. Rooms were comfortable, pool clean and staff were generally welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately we did not like food at the restaurant, other than the burger, fries and omelette. The food service was slow. It seemed like they were understaffed. The stuffed mushrooms tasted like they were reheated and laid on a bed of old/stale chopped lettuce. The surf and turf bites were also disappointing. Our room lacked hand soap, which we were told was currently out of stock. Another great perk of this hotel is its gym. We were pleasantly surprised with its amenities. It was also refreshing to see allergens listed on the menu in Guyana. However, people with allergies should still be careful as the list was missing some, e.g a salad with croutons did not list wheat as an allergen nor did a brownie containing egg list it under allergens. All this being said we would definitely stay here again.
