Welcome to Serendipity! A couple's retreat. Whether you and your partner just want to relax for a weekend or stay a week, this boathouse has it all. It's just 50 mins away from St. John's, 20 minutes away from Dildo or the Irish Loop. Nestled in the most sought after cottage areas on the Avalon Peninsula, Ocean Pond- you can bring your quad, bikes, kayaks, paddle boards or snowmobile and go on an adventure on the trail way which is only minutes away. There's tons of places to hike and snowshoe too. The boathouse contains all kinds of entertainment: pool table, hockey game, karaoke, board games. At the front of the boathouse there are Adirondack chairs and a fire pit if you just want to unwind with a glass of wine and watch the fire or the water or you can sit at the fire table on the patio. In the morning you can chose from a coffee or an espresso and enjoy watching the water form the patio. If you do have to attend to work for a few minutes there is also a desk to attend to work matters. I contacted the hosts and they were nothing but friendly and helpful from the beginning. They provided excellent directions and were quick to respond to any questions we had. The location is ideal - not far from the city, far enough off the highway you can't hear traffic with a great view. The house is clean and is equipped with everything you might need (even a bottle of wine upon arrival) - just bring some food and you are all set. There are kayaks available to you which are great for such a calm pond. If it happens to rain there is plenty to do inside - pool table, karaoke, TV with a DVD player, popcorn machine etc. Whether rain or shine you'll have something to do and won't get bored. It was such a beautiful place to stay, lots of things to do and if you just want to relax you can, you will never get board, the owners were the sweetest and it was really easy to get a hold to them, they gave us great directions to the cabin. There was even a bottle of wine and a note from the owners welcoming us to there cabin when we got there! I would highly recommend staying here!!!! The location is absolutely beautiful and there are so many things to do. The boathouse was very clean and decorated beautifully. This is a wonderful place to go to recharge, relax, and have fun.
