SPACIOUS LAKE HOUSE WITH 1,000 FEET OF SHORELINE!  
  
Welcome to your perfect lakeside escape. Nestled on the shores of Kauppi Lake in Cotton, MN, Lake House Retreat offers a peaceful getaway just 40 minutes from Duluth, Cloquet, and Virginia. Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a quiet retreat, or a fun-filled lake adventure, this spacious and well-appointed home has everything you need. Lake House Retreat includes 2 bedrooms with plenty of room for extra sleeping with a queen size air mattress available. This family-friendly home features an open floor plan with electric fireplace on the main level. A fully equipped kitchen includes all appliances, including a built-in ice machine in the refrigerator. Large dining table seats up to 10 people with an island in the kitchen which offers more seating. Just off the family room and kitchen area is a large deck that offers picturesque views of the lake where you can enjoy the fresh air, sounds of the loons, a good book, cup of coffee, or just take in the view.  
  
Lake House Retreat interior features a main-level full bath with a bedroom with a queen bed, walk-in closet and television. Coffee bar is equipped with a duel keurig with a coffee maker along with all your favorite coffee fixings (to-go cups, coffee cups, creamer, sugars, decaf and regular coffee pods). A full kitchen which includes dinnerware, silverware, cups, pots/pans, cooking utensils, toaster, air fryer, baking sheets, and serving bowls. Family room and dining room has an open floor plan with views of the lake. Large entryway includes a closet, and laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer. Loft bedroom with open floor concept, king bed, bathroom with stand up shower, television and plenty of room for a queen size mattress for extra sleeping with (air mattress included at this home). For the little people this home has a portable crib, high chair and a gate for the stairs. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms installed on each floor.  
  
Lake House Retreat exterior offers 2 decks with dining tables on both. One high top gas fire pit dining table. Beach chairs, fire pit chairs, picnic table, garage chairs and tables, swim floats for the whole family, floating island (seats up to 8), 3 kayaks, and 1,000 FEET OF SHORELINE WITH A 32 FOOT DOCK WITH SEATING. Water next to dock (swimming area) is shallow with a gradual slope and is 3 feet deep at the end of the dock. There are two ponds which the kids love to hunt for frogs! We also offer two grills for all your grilling needs (one is a Pit Boss stone griddle and one is a Pit Boss wood pellet grill and smoker). Garage offers front room space for those cooler, rainy, let’s get out of the sun for a bit moments. Also has a refrigerator and freezer, 2 coolers and a beautiful view of the lake.  
  
Additional comforts include; WiFi, AC, Dish Network, playing cards, dice, UNO, Phase 10, some children’s books and inside toys. Cornnhole game with bags. Large fire pit near lake with a supply of firewood, fire starters, lighter, chairs and s’mores box with roasting sticks and wet wipes. Our property is sprayed for insect control which is people/pet friendly allowing our guests to enjoy the outdoors more comfortably.   
  
Pets: Lake House Retreat has a 2 dog maximum. A fee of $25 per day, per dog will be added to reservation. No cats are allowed.  
  
A 20’ Sylvan pontoon boat is available to rent separately for either a daily or weekly rate. Please reach out after booking for pricing and reservation.  
  
NOTE: If you’re looking to host a family reunion, birthday party, anniversary party, bridal or baby shower contact the host directly for more information regarding these daily rental options. Unfortunately no bachelor or bachelorette parties are allowed.

What a wonderful lakehouse getaway! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and Roxie was an outstanding host. The house and kitchen were well-appointed and there were so many thoughtful touches throughout. Everything was very CLEAN which goes a long way with me! The property was spacious with plenty of room for our yellow lab pup Josie to explore. This was a very positive, relaxing experience and we can't wait to return with the rest of our family! Very highly recommend

Words can’t describe how wonderful our stay was at the Lake House. On a scale of one to 10 this stay ranks in at 10\. Roxie’s place is amazing, simply amazing. Roxie made us feel like we were at home when we arrived and received the keys. Roxie continually took care of us by answering questions that we had about the property and things we could do. On the way back home we decided we want to book again; it’s the perfect place to leave the everyday grind behind. Roxie, your home should be the standard for all rental properties, your hospitality made is feel welcomed and at home; thank you. Looking forward to another stay at the Lake House.

I'm not sure words can express the wonderful experience we had on our stay. Roxy is a "Rock Star" in hosting! Anything we needed or had questions on she was very prompt in communication and accommodating. Picture DO NOT justify just how beautiful this property is. It was a wonderful vacation spot to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday with the family. We will definitely be back! P.S. Take them up on the Pontoon rental. It ads to the experience to be out on the lake.

This was a fantastic rental property for a week near Duluth and the MN North Shore. After a summer full of kids' activities, we were looking for a beautiful place to unwind and this was the perfect place. The house is very well-kept and had everything we needed to be there for the week. The outdoor spaces were incredible and family favorite. They were many to choose from and all were comfortable with beautiful scenery at every turn. We feel lucky to have found this gem and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Amazing property and great experience overall! Roxie and Kelly are exceptional hosts and we cannot recommend them enough. The house has everything you could need, is exceptionally clean and well equipped for a family vacation. Check in was easy and everything was ready for us when we arrived, the kitchen and the rest of the house is fully equipped even if you forget something, you don’t have to worry as it will most likely be available for you to use from plates to coffee, it’s all there.

#### Hospitality Made for a Quality Stay

Spot on description of the property and yet we felt the pictures didn’t give it full credit. Clean, clean, clean. Welcoming. Great pontoon. Super-well managed property and the bugs are kept in check. Comfortable furnishings and a safe area. Could not be happier and the proximity to Duluth makes it a real gem.

I definitely would recommend staying at this beautiful lake cabin! Owners are friendly, the house and property are clean! Has many amenities for any type of fun. The kids’ favorite part was fishing on the private lake. For mom and dad it was sitting on the dock watching them swim and enjoy the kayaks! We hope to return someday soon…. a little longer tho!

Our family had such a fantastic stay! Roxie was wonderful and so helpful -- she has a knack for hospitality. We felt welcomed, every amenity was available, and she went above and beyond to ensure our family enjoyed our time together.If it's available, don't hesitate. Book it!

#### Perfect stay for the fam

Awesome place to stay with our family. Kids had lots of fun and spent hours and hours in the water and fishing. Roxie and Kelly were welcoming and friendly and the place was clean and comfortable. Lots of space for kids to roam and the beach area is perfect. No complaints at all!Thanks!
