This hotel is in desperate need of an overhaul of its rooms, furniture and common areas. There is thick, discoloured artex on the walls of the rooms and the corridors. The room was dark, it had chipboard shelves with chipped and cracked vinyl covering and concertina steel doors to the wardrobe. Other furniture was tarnished and scratched dark wood. The sheets were very thin through overuse and heavily starched. The bathroom had no shower, and was tiled in dark brown 1970s tiles. The Lino on the floor was a nicotine colour.
The staff were OK and as helpful as could be expected, there is free car parking on site, and the free wifi worked (unlike some other places claiming to offer this service). However, nowhere near enough positives to overcome the unacceptable standard of the room.
