Fantastic location with stunning panoramic views from everywhere in the hotel - especially breakfast. Large, roomy, wonderful deco interiors with fabulous deco furniture ground floor. Very roomy bedrooms with fabulous views from balcony. Staff were exceptionnally attentive, polite and helpful, spoke dual languages.

This facility is amazing, with stunning views and beautiful property. The trail throught the grounds and around the cliffs and village is a must see for those willing to climb some stairs. It's all breath taking.

The hotel lacks any kind of entertainment. There could have some music in the pool or saloon. Or someone playing piano . Also some chess sets and playing cards. A shuttle to the surrounding areas even if 2-3 times per day would be nice

Amenities not consistent with a four star hotel. Might be lovely during the summer but I’d skip in November. No pool - and hot tubs cost 35 euros per person. No coffee in your room and have to wait till 8am for dining room to open. Breakfast just ok.

We booked this as a joint 55th birthday treat. The location is fantastic and views superb. Even though the hotel was far from full car parking was limited. Our biggest disappointment was room service. We couldn't order a coffee in our room until after 8am? Also the wifi was really slow. Breakfast was excellent with an extensive choice at the buffet. And an evening meal is the restaurant was good quality and good value.

We had a wonderful time.
We had a beautiful view of the sea, the room was big by all standards, the food at the restaurant was delicious, the service impeccable. We hope to come back in Spring or Summer, but fall almost winter was very special too.

Not my favorite, not terrible.
The first room we received smelled like cigarette smoke, and my wife is asthmatic and allergic, so we made sure we were moved. We at first were told they were totally full. After they started talking about changing the sheets and just airing out the room, then they magically had another room available. That room was fine. We were there for our honeymoon and hoped, it being such a nice place, they'd do something special for us, but all they said was happy honeymoon. Bring cash for the bar. View is pretty. Didn't go in in the pool but laid by it. The beach next to it was incredibly packed with people and is rocky, so bring water shoes. Overall it was a fine experience, but not something I would pay that much money for again.

Like many other Paradores -- this hotel is in a spectacular spot -- up on a height overlooking the sea on two sides . Dining room has a lovely view of the sea + the surrounding coast

Wonderful location
This hotel is really about the location with sheer cliffs on one side and a picturesque bay on the other. The hotel is showing it's age in some ways with some crazing of the glazing on the sink and a tap which needed careful handling. It is a pity that the there is no longer a water feature under the stairs. Some apparent problems are circumvented by the helpfulness of the staff. eg We were provided with a kettle when commenting on lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. It would be helpful if the menu could be displayed outside the restaurant and cards with bar services and prices placed on the tables. In fact the restaurant menu is excellent and good value compared with the restaurants on the beach although we did not try the Parador's own beach restaurant. I think that looking at competitors the management should think about provision of dressing gowns and disposable slippers and of course tea making facilities in the room. The breakfast was good although nobody can match 'The Full English' outside the UK. Altogether spacious and comfortable rooms and a unique experience.

This is a very pleasant hotel in a beautiful setting. All views from the hotel were stunning and we had a particularly gorgeous view from our balcony. We only had breakfast each day and it was good quality if a little expensive, with a one tier pricing system - not good for the light eater. Surely a continental/full breakfast choice would be fairer, priced accordingly. Surrounding area was charming making this hotel a good choice for the discerning traveller.

Wonderful relaxing stay in a beautiful part of the Costa Brava. Would return again but not in March as the area was a little quiet, with not too many eating places available outside the hotel. Early April would be perfect.

Fine hotel in a beautiful location.
We enjoyed a 2 night stay in this hotel located in one of the most beautiful places along the Costa Brava. We were there off-season (early November), so did not have to fight the crowds that are around during peak times.The weather was beautiful, sunny & 70s during the day...cool at night. The beach is a short walk down the hill path from the hotel. There is a nice swimming pool with great views. The hotel itself is somewhat dated though the rooms were spacious and airy with a large balcony & fantastic view. The beds were comfortable, but were two made-up twin beds pushed together (a common experience in Europe.) I really dislike this. The staff were friendly & spoke English well. The breakfasts were wonderful offering every food imaginable! We did dine one night in the restaurant & it was fine, but not great. The hotel did pack us a lovely picnic lunch to take on one of our sight-seeing day-trips. The town of Begur, a few minutes drive away, had some really great offerings for dinner even off season. The town of Aiquablava was pretty much closed down off season.

fantastic location for the beach, large hotel, we had the room with a beach view and terrace which was lovely. The resturant was large and the food not the most amazing but the local resturants surronding the hotel made up for this. Very friendly staff, good car parking, would recommend having a car to get to and around Begur and the surrounding area. Would happily return for a longer stay.

We were absolutely delighted with everything about this hotel. The staff were very helpful and our room, although just 'standard' was large with a balcony overlooking the sea and rocks, was exceptional. Although facing the bay is the most popular side, we much preferred where we were as it was so peaceful just looking out to sea' I think the buffet breakfast was one of the best I have ever seen. The choice was just incredible, and everything from the bite sized pain au chocolate to the lashings of marinated smoked salmon was delicious. No need for lunch for us! The walk down to the beach was easy and it would have been very nice if the hotel had provided sun loungers as they were very expensive to hire. There were only two restaurants open in the evening in September on the beach, both were excellent (one belongs to the Parador) but very expensive. There were wonderful places to eat in Begur and surrounding areas. We would have eaten at the hotel in the evening, but the weather was so warm we didn't want to eat inside and there is no terrace attached to the dining room. We have already booked for next year!

Incredible Experience
My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights in April. Friendly staff, clean room, incredible views! Our only concern was that the food at the hotel was grossly overpriced and ended up doubling our costs. We wanted to go out instead, but in those parts bars and restaurants didn't stay open as late as we wanted.

Ha sido un regalo por cumple, pero la verdad es k el parador es un regalo en sí. Está renovado precioso, atrevido, con gusto y moderno/divertido. Como dicen, la comida buena y bien presentada. Y no puedo decir nada malo del entorno: Aiguablava, la cala, la calidad del agua, los árboles/pinos hasta el borde del mediterráneo...

Un emplacement de rêve
Un emplacement de toute beauté pour cet hôtel entièrement rénové récemment aux superbes espaces. Les chambres ont toutes vues sur la mer mais préférez les chambres côté pair qui ont une vue superbe sur la côte sauvage. Un bémol: l’absence de cafetière et l’impossibilité de manger avant 20h même à la cafétéria. Sinon c’est absolument parfait!

Die Lage, die Architektur und die grundsätzliche Ausstattung des Hotel sind fantastisch! Allerdings gibt es inzwischen schon einen erheblichen Sanierungsstau am Hotel und der Service und das Restaurant sind alles andere, als es einem 4-Sterne Hotel entsprechen würde. Folgende Mängel sind uns im Zimmer/Hotel aufgefallen: - In der Dusche waren sämtliche Fugen verschimmelt. - Die Einbaunische des Kühlschranks war komplett schief und wackelte. - Der Klorollenhalter hing lose herunter. - Das Bad war bei Ankunft nicht ordentlich geputzt. - Die Prallplatte im Waschbecken wackelte und das Wasser lief nicht ab. - Die Teppiche auf den Fluren im ganzen Hotel hatten viele unschöne Flecken. - Überall waren Macken und Furnierabplatzer an der Einrichtung erkennbar. - Der Pool hatte viele braune Flecken und die Farbe des Beckens war deutlich ausgeblichen. - Die Fassade des Hotels müsste dringend an vielen Stellen neu gestrichen werden. Leider wurden die Mängel im Zimmer auch nach Reklamation nicht behoben. Am schlimmsten war aber der Zustand des Restaurants, bzw. die Qualität der Speisen und der Service. Wir hatten zweimal dort gegessen und waren sehr enttäuscht. Optisch und geschmacklich wenn überhaupt nur 2-Sterne-Niveau. Frisch ware das Essen definitiv auch nicht, da es uns beidesmal im Anschluss schlecht ging und wir uns nach dem zweiten Mal sogar Übergeben mussten!
