I will not stay in this hotel again. We booked online for a price, and they charged us 40 euros more. In addition, the A/C did not work well in the rooms, the beds were not good and the rooms were outdated. Not a great experience, more like sleeping in a sauna. The staff was very helpful and understanding.

For the price we paid we got what we expected but it’s by no means a 4 star hotel, room wasn’t the cleanest and also paid for WiFi that did not work in the room, hotels needs to do a better job of social distancing and mask wearing

Three day stay started with being shouted at by waitress Lola. Made a complaint to receptionist Sabina, she stared and rolled Her eyes at us. Very rude with no customer service skills. We had to pay for the spa facilities and there was a power blackout whilst we were in the steam room and it never came back on, when we told receptionist Sabina she rolled her eyes as if to say we were lying. I then told her I had worked in Accor hotels and her behaviour was totally unprofessional. She then dropped the refund in my sisters hand a stormed off without a word. The hotel was generally clean and the rooms looked clean, but we had a major problem and it resulted in a full refund after much stress. If a representative for h.top hotel chain would like to comment or make contact please do. Total disaster from start to end. We Stay in h.top hotels a lot and have never Had these problems. The receptionist Sabina really made things a lot worse with her total rudeness and she is a very bad representative for the hotel chain. If it was my first time in a h.top hotel I definitely would not want try another one. So I suggest she has training in how to treat guests. Cleaning staff need to be retrained in hygiene. Manager totally refused to see me when I requested to see him concerning the very delicate situation, I then was left waiting for 45 minutes and my airport transfers had to wait. The manager should have dealt with my complaint and not the receptionist. Not happy

It’s not a 4 star but it is spotless, it’s basic decor and beds, but has fantastic hotel facilities. The fact you can use your all inclusive card at their other hotels we enjoyed too as they have different set ups, one close to the beach for example was lovely. The staff fabulous, the food fantastic for a meat eater, being a vegetarian I knew it would be chips and pasta and it was generally but every night there was a vegetable type and salad so it was easy to make a meal, I have no complaints. You don’t get quorn these places and I think that’s what the moaners want. The hotel is in a party district so it can get rowdy people there, I was personally embarrassed by some of the brits at the hotel, showing us up in true Brit fashion. The entertainment was brilliant, really couldn’t fault it. Rooms cleaned every day. Food literally on tap until 11pm, you cannot go hungry. My only disappointment was the indoor pool, cold and shallow, otherwise everything was great for a 3 star . I’d definitely go back to the area, I’d be happy at this hotel but possibly would choose the one nearest the beach. Either were lovely 😊 Fly into Girona and the hotel is 20 mins away, it was cheaper to hire a car for £25 for 5 days than £40 each way transfer.

You should consider few things before to book, the hotel have more to do with 1 star facilities , very noisy ,very old,  admins trying to maximise your spending in hotel. you must pay for using internet , no fridge but  you can hire one , no table in the room so you can eat .I'm  not sure if you will  feel good when you understand that the hotel situated on the back of the main cemetery .

Very dated , in need of decoration throughout. Room was for 3 adults but 2 single beds and one small child size camp bed. Restaurant staff never smiled in 5 days ! Check in and check out staff abrupt and need to learn to smile too . It’s central for everything and liked the resort but wouldn’t stay in this hotel again or recommend it to anyone

Great value for money. Large variety of food, meats, salads, breads, desserts and beer, wine, water and coffee and juices available at meals. 2 descent sized deep pools outdoor and 1 indoor with gym and spa. The entertainment staff try their best and are friendly. We found all the staff to be helpful and friendly. Cards instead of wrist band, if you're there as a couple you have to carry around 5 cards, room key, 2 A.I. cards and 2 glasses cards. ( You have to hand these in when ordering your drinks in the bar, so you will bring you're glasses back. This isn't as much trouble as it sounds.) We had a great time, even though the weather was only average.

Restaurant host (male in a suit) was demonstratively snobbish and provided very poor service to foreign guests while being overly friendly with the Spanish speaking vacationers. The host spoke English fluently but was very reluctant answering questions or discussing issues in English. On a few occasions, the host did not even greet us at dinner - neither in English, nor in Spanish.

I stayed between the 9th-13th May during the Spanish grand prix. The hotel was predominantly full of Spanish guests with all entertainment naturally catering for this audience. Other than the receptionists very few of the staff spoke English and communication was tough at times. The hotel was generally clean throughout and in a good location, about a 5 minute walk from the main bars leading to the beach. The spa was chargeable as was WiFi.

Plus points - Staff were great and the location wasn't too bad (10 minute walk to 3 different beaches) Negative points - The hotel is like a throwback to the 70's. It is a 2 star at best. The noise at night is incredible with hundreds of teenagers coming back from the clubs. It's beside a main road and the traffic noise alone takes a bit of getting used to. The hotel could do with investing in some sort of soundproofing. You could hear someone cough in the next room like they were in your room.

Good hotel needs things that matter to customers.
We love staying at Royal Top Star hotel, this is our fourth time of staying there within two years. Food is great, house keeping service is good, staff are professional. However we have never been given a double bed as a husband and wife. We always request for one during booking and at the reception during our stay but none has never been provided. Lack of having double bed may prevent us to patronise them in future.

Not to the quality of its former glory.
Cheap and cheerful. Hotel is going downhill though. Stayed here before and received a much better service. Staff are not ever in a hurry to serve in any area of the hotel. Card for drinks is over the top and slows down service in the bar and restaurant. Dining room needs more staff. Tables never cleaned quickly enough and food not replaced in a timely manner.
