Within a 10-minute drive, you’ll find several whitewater rafting companies in nearby Hartford, TN. The loft sits on a 65-acre mountain property along Cosby Creek, featuring approximately 1,500 feet of creek frontage where guests can fish, wade, or simply relax by the water. Inside the loft, you’ll go upstairs to an open-concept bedroom and kitchen area. The living space includes a flat-screen TV and a cozy sitting area — perfect for using your laptop or playing games. Cosby Creek is just a short walk away, offering a peaceful place to unwind. Guests have access to the creek and surrounding outdoor areas to enjoy the natural beauty and quiet mountain setting. The BarnLoft is located just off Cosby Highway. A small farmhouse sits nearby, and The Quaint Cabin is located down the road — ideal if extended family or friends are traveling with you and wish to stay close. The BarnLoft is part of Foothills Farm, a mountain wedding venue that also includes two other short-term rental properties. On occasion, events may be scheduled at the barn. If an event is planned during your stay, we will do our best to notify you in advance. When events are not taking place, guests are welcome to enjoy the barn grounds, including seating areas, picnic spaces, an outdoor fireplace, and a BBQ grill. These amenities are shared common areas for all guests staying on the property and should not be considered part of any individual rental. During scheduled events, access to the barn area may be restricted to ensure privacy and safety. We are available if you have questions during your stay and are happy to help make your visit enjoyable. No pets are allowed in the loft. This policy is strictly enforced. We notified the host and he responded that the listing states there may be other events taking place which is true. However it also states that the host would let the guest know so we could cancel or choose not to book. He didn’t let us know. We would not have booked. This is also a violation of VRBO terms of service as they do not allow shared spaces on their platform. There was nowhere to rebook us as it was Valentines week d so our option was to cancel and get a refund or stay and try to work something out with the owner. We decided to stay since my husband tracked 9 hours to visit me while I’m currently caring for my mother. We entered the lost to find it filthy. The floors had hundreds of dead lady bugs, candy, pocket change, salt packets, on the floor. The shower was also dirty. We notified the owner and sent photos to him and his response was to send a cleaner. My wife had already swept and was the shower at this point. A cleaner showed up around 5pm so now what? We take out luggage back outside through the wedding which we already had to bring in through the wedding so she can clean or we sit here and wait in the loft while she cleans? Warring more of our time? We had already lost our dinner reservation by this point due the back and forth about the wedding. So we stayed and now we are trying to leave and had to have wedding guests move their cars. How uncomfortable this was. And then we went inside and the loft/barn was so cool. All of the little details were thought out so well. We really enjoyed the creek, the fire on the patio, walking around the property, fireflies at night and it was close enough to the tourist attractions to go check those out. This location was great! Five minute drive to Smokey mountain entrance. This loft is exactly as advertised! It was truly perfect for a couple. You could definitely bring your family, but it is essentially a studio apartment so there would be no privacy…. Plenty of space though! We would stay here again. ##### Justice B.
