Southern Comfort is your perfect basecamp for East TN excitement. Our small team is always happy to help and responds to questions and concerns between 9am and 10pm EST. Rocky Ridge is a small neighborhood with year round and other vacation rentals. You'll see squirrels, birds and other small wildlife. Easy access, no scary curves or cliffs in the immediate area. There is plenty of parking plus a carport. 30 min to Gatlinburg Since this is our 2nd home, we take pride in making sure it's very clean, comfortable, and has everything you could need. We also visit frequently to insure it's well taken care of and maintenance is up-to-date :) Amenities include: Large Hot Tub Fire pit with free firewood (1 starter log provided) Creekside (not for fishing) Indoor gas fireplace (Nov 15 to Mar 15) Super fast Wi-Fi Fully stocked kitchen Free coffee, tea, sugar, non-dairy creamer, oil and a large variety of spices. 3 Smart TVs & a huge collection of DVDs BBQ grill Foosball table in loft Corn hole game, family board games, playing cards. After a busy day of sightseeing or whitewater rafting, return to your quiet cabin and build a fire in the fire pit, make some s'mores, or just hang out under the stars. How about a friendly game of corn hole? On cold fall or winter nights, turn on the fireplace (Nov 15 to March 15) and cuddle up with your sweetheart or soak your cares away in the hot tub on the covered deck. Cook up some burgers or a steak on the grill and enjoy them at the picnic table. Kids of all ages will enjoy the creek and the large 1 acre yard to play in! 1,200 sq ft cabin in an open concept kitchen and living area plus loft. 10% Discount for weekly stays. 25% discount on monthly stays. You can also get fresh veggies, jams and jellies at Carver's Produce just down the road. Walmart is a 15 min drive in Newport. It was more than spacious for the two of us and could have easily accommodated 2 couples with children. The cabin was super clean and was situated on a nice piece of property. What I loved most was how quiet and peaceful the cabin was. It gave us the much needed serenity to recharge after our busy days. The added amenities like the TV, WiFi, fire pit, BBQ and hot tub provides much to do for anyone who decides to spend more time at the cabin than we were able to. The communication between the owners and I was excellent and Christine was genuinely interested in making sure we had a good stay. I would love to stay here again and I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in Eastern TN and the Smoky Mountains area. ##### J C. The cabin and hot tub were VERY clean! Kitchen was well stocked for cooking - exception of not having a full size coffee pot, just a Keurig. No complaints - mentioning only for awareness. Plenty of blankets and towels readily available. The cabin was very spacious for its size. The neighbors are close in proximity so not as private. The area was quiet and peaceful. The cabin was very peaceful and clean. Check in was so easy and Christine was easy to get in touch with. The cabin was completely furnished and is located in such a beautiful setting. The two covered porches are very large and you will find yourself sitting there most mornings enjoying a cup of coffee! The property is clean with large fire pit that can sit friends and family around on those cool fall days. Inside the kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom is exactly what you’d expect from a wood cabin with beautiful hardwood floors throughout and a special mention to the mattress that will keep you comfortable all night. I wish I had this mattress in my home as I live with chronic back pain. I can honestly say I woke up most mornings with little pain! Also, we loved the bear theme throughout the house. The owners have really gone above and beyond to make the cabin a place you will enjoy! The road you turn on to get to the cabin is very tight and most places someone will need to pull to the side to let the other car get by. It is only for about a half mile and was no problem but something to be aware of. Just go slow and you’ll be fine. Honestly, it adds to the fact you’re getting away from it all! It was close to everything we wanted to see and do in Cosby, yet settled away from the main traffic, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The whole cabin was pristinely clean, not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, and was decorated with charming bird and bear decor. We had plenty of room for evening crafting and watching tv, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and a well-equipped kitchen. In the bathrooms our host even thought of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, which many hosts don’t bother with. The towels were plentiful too!
