Of the 8 hotels we stayed at, Hotel Pontechiesa was the only disappointment. Pros: Our room was clean and the hotel is within walking distance of downtown Cortina. Cons: 1) Breakfast seating is assigned. In our case, we were seated next to a family with two coughing children. Most of the tables in the dining area were empty yet we were forced to sit next to two children who were clearly ill. During a pandemic, this makes little sense. Why not seat us away from sick people or give us the option of eating outside? 2) A male staff member watches over the breakfast buffet like a hawk. In general, the atmosphere felt tense and micro-managed. 3) I certainly understand that hoteliers have suffered during the pandemic. I was surprised though at the lack of hospitality from many member of the staff. Mi aspettavo di trovare la spa ( come pubblicizzato sul loro sito) ed invece mi è stato detto che non è ancora pronta perché gli artigiani hanno ritarato l'apertura. We could not have been happier with this charming hotel! The owner was so attentive and so hardworking to please not only us-but every single guest. She recalled our names each time we walked by the desk. Our plan included a good breakfast. We met another couple who had returned to this hotel every year for the past seven years. They recommended getting the plan to include dinner if staying longer than a couple of days. The location was good-close enough to walk to the center of town but quiet at night. It is situated next to the river. Althugh we were not traveling with children-this is ideal for families as it has a lovely play area. L'hôtel a un petit côté vintage mais il est très confortable. La salle de bains était tout neuve et bien équipée. Le petit déjeuner est sous forme de buffet bien garni et si vous optez pour la demi-pension, c'est un très bon choix ! Service impeccable, 3 plats plus Buffet des fromages et buffet des desserts ( un délice !!) pour un prix très raisonnable....il est conseillé de switcher le déjeuner pour apprécier ! We were very pleased staying at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and extremely attentive to any of our needs. The location was perfect; a 3-5 minute walk to the pedestrian-only center of Cortina, and a 5 min walk in the other direction to the Tofana cable car (we didn't need our car staying here). The common areas of the hotel were comfortable, and we enjoyed relaxing and a drink in the bar area before dinner(s). The ski storage area worked great for us too. Lovely room with a balcony and view at the front. Decent but not fantastic buffet breakfast. We ate out for dinner and would recommend the 5 Torri -mostly pizzas but other stuff available-no advanced bookings and it was very popular and busy so you may have to give your name and go and get a beer for half an hour. Most people seemed to eat in their hotels. Frukosten var välsorterad och bra för att vara av den kontinentala sorten. Perfekt läge i den lilla stadskärnans utkant och med egen charmig trädgård invid en liten fors. Gratis parkering fanns. Hotellissa on oma rauhallinen pihansa, mikä on vieressä virtaavine jokineen mukava paikka oleskella. Hotelli on todella puhdas ja hienosti ylläpidetty. Aamupala on kattava ja hyvä. Pysäköintitilaa löytyy kosolti. 6kk vauvan ruoat saatiin kylmään ja kuumaa vettä huoneeseen puuroja varten. Sisustukseltaan hotelli on varsin perinteinen alppityylinen. A szálloda elhelyezkedése kitűnő, jó parkolási lehetőséggel. Közel a belvároshoz, pár perc séta. Figyelmes a kiszolgálás, gyönyörű belülről a szálloda, otthonos. A reggeli bőséges, a vacsora úgyszintén. Kitűnő a kiszolgálás, a vacsoránál az előételt és a főételt a pincér tálalta ki, amelyet zsúrkocsin tolt az asztalhoz. A tetőtéri szobánk is tiszta és tágas volt, az erkélyről pedig szép a kilátás a környékre. Kényelmes az ágy, fürdőkádas volt a fürdőszoba. Kellemes meglepetés volt, hogy este amíg lenn vacsoráztunk, a személyzet behúzta a szoba sötétítő függönyeit és megágyazott.
