Enjoy understated elegance in the gracious living areas of this luxury townhome in the renowned Corolla Light community. From the Beacon Villas neighborhood, a direct sidewalk leads to the nearby Shad Street beach access, less than a half mile away, perfect for a leisurely walk or bike ride. Alternatively, guests can utilize the public parking lot on Shad Street for easy access by car. A private hot tub on the enclosed back porch is a decadent treat. The whole group will enjoy full access to all the amenities at the Corolla Light Resort. Enjoy the myriad activities of the oceanfront entertainment complex as well as the quiet tranquility of soundside walking trails. The first level will be lots of fun for kids and adults alike, relax in front of the HDTV with the latest movie or episode of your can't miss TV show. A full-size refrigerator makes stashing away your favorite refreshments as easy as pie! This level also features a bedroom with full and twin beds and a full hall bath. On the second level, the light and airy great room is an eclectic blend of light and dark, modern and rustic. It has a charm all its own that you are sure to love! The living area features two sofas and an armchair complemented by rustic wood side pieces and a flat-screen HDTV. Lots of light flows in from the two large windows. A wonderfully functional kitchen awaits the chef of the group. Rich dark wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and plenty of workspaces all come together to create the perfect atmosphere for culinary genius! A breakfast bar with seating for four allows for plenty of group interaction. Enjoy that delectable meal together at the adjacent wood dining table for 6 or enjoy a meal or cup of coffee outside on the second-level patio with new patio furniture from Nags Head Hammocks. The second level also boasts two En Suites. The first has a King bed, a gorgeous, distressed wood bedroom set and a large HDTV. The bathroom has double vanities and a large stall shower. The second King En Suite also features a lovely, distressed bedroom set, cute and colorful decor, flat panel HDTV and an intimate bath with white subway tile in the shower with a beautiful contrasting tile in the large stall shower. The third level bedroom features two queen beds with a full community bathroom. A fun window seat will make you feel like you're in the middle of an ocean adrift on a sailboat! A flat screen TV is perfect for those fun group movie nights. This property has 4 parking spots for guests. The property has high speed internet, but no cable service. Each of the six TVs are smart TVs and additionally each TV has an Amazon Fire Stick which will enable guests to log in to their favorite streaming service (Amazon Prime, YoutubeTV, Apple+, Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, ESPN+). A screened porch holds the soothing hot tub that will surely take away any remaining stress. What could be better than sitting in the hot tub on a cool Outer Banks evening, feeling the bubbling jets work their magic on you? A grill and an outdoor seating area also round out the first level. As part of the Corolla Light community, you and your group enjoy access to the many fabulous amenities. The resort encompasses 240 acres and is considered be the most family-friendly resort on the Outer Banks. Corolla Light is home to some of the best beaches anywhere on the Outer Banks and they are patrolled by lifeguards during the summer season. For those seeking a more natural experience, visit the quiet sound side and take a walk along the mile soundfront nature trail. The sunsets off the two piers are glorious and not to be missed. Once I figured it out I went and there was no package made for us nor did they know about our stay. I had to physically show them my email from Kees reality to prove that I was staying there. It’s frustrating when you pay 5k to stay somewhere for a week and you feel like you’re being questioned about your validity. The “game room” on the bottom floor doesn’t have any games and could really use a pool table or ping pong table. The house in general is very nice as far as furnishings and the bathrooms are great as well. The water pressure throughout the house is lacking though. We got a sanction for having one towel on our balcony overnight which we didn’t realize was an issue. We took it down immediately upon request. We did enjoy our stay though and very much enjoyed the Corolla Light Resort. ##### Desiree A. It is nice for each bedroom to have a full bath and the kitchen was well stocked. The gathering areas were large and nice to hang out with everyone. Property was not as clean as expected. Cobwebs, bugs on window sills and outside deck covered in spider webs and bugs. No gas in outdoor grill and tv’s did not work upon arrival. We had plenty of space so that we were not on top of one another. Beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets and pillows. We couldn’t connect our Alexa or an Xbox to the WiFi. I asked the property manager about it but never received an answer. My kids wanted a blender, but there wasn’t one. There is shampoo and soap provided for you. There are some trash bags but not enough. So either use your FoodLion bags or bring your own. I wish it had more comfortable chairs in the living room. I rated 3 stars for cleanliness because I do not really know how much the property was disinfected. On appearance it was fine. My issue is with the lack of communication well before any lockdowns started. I asked a question before I booked and never heard back. I went ahead and booked but that was my mistake and also my first clue! Then the OBX was shut down for a truly remarkable reason. However, those in realty there actually have more experience than most places since hurricanes have shut the island down in the past. Although the reopening was in flux and out of their control, the emails I sent leading up to our check in date did not merit a response of ANY kind. Their listing site had no phone number. I contacted the main VRBO office and they gave me a phone number - it was incorrect. I was finally contacted a day and a half before the rental started. The property itself is fine but if you have ANY questions or concerns beforehand, don't hold your breath. We have rented through VRBO and the "other company" many times and have never had this communication issue. Disappointing and certainly more of an issue in what will be our new normal for a while. ##### Mary C. The granite counter tops in the kitchen and all bathrooms along with the stainless steel appliances were a really nice touch. Loved having an outdoor shower. It made returning from the beach much easier and neater. Minor issues with specific items not available at check-in (bunk bed sheets and kitchen start up kit) were addressed by the KEES staff quickly and courteously. Just a heads up that there is no ping pong table on the lower level but this was definitely not an issue for us. The corolla light resort amenities were great. It was nice having such a nice exercise facility and indoor pool along with the beach front complex with horseshoes, basketball, and shuffleboard for the kids too. ##### Jim C. The only complaint, as other reviewers noted, were the amount of spider webs and spiders outside the house. Really big spiders. This home is perfect for a family visiting Corolla and is within walking distance of the ocean, sound and various businesses. It definitely seemed like we were the first people to stay here in quite a while as there were a lot of cobwebs throughout the doorways and also the water was turned off to the outdoor shower. We were very close to various attractions (lighthouse, Corolla Jeep Adventurers, Beach, Nature Park) all within walking distance. The home was beautifully decorated and the layout worked perfectly for our family. I will say to NO FAULT OF HOMEAWAY the home was a little unclean. I always travel with my own sheets as I travel often for work; however, our cleaning crew must have been on vacation (haha). A few of the pillows had makeup markings on them. There were spiderwebs upon entry, attached to most light fixtures, and in most corners. The paint color for the walls was very light and it wasn’t hard to spot dark colored spider webs indicating they had collected a little dust themselves. That did not stop us from having a good time, I whipped out my Swiffer duster and some Lysol wipes and did a once over on the place prior to the arrival of my Mother (Birthday Guest of Honor). It just wasn’t something I would have preferred to do while on vacation. Again-beautiful property, I’m acually looking to book a Christmas getaway through Home Away to Corolla and annual summer trips after that. I just wish the cleaning crew would have taken a little more time to do a thorough cleaning. Outside of the slack job by the cleaning crew I would easilyyyyyy give this property 5stars. ##### Tairra P. The kitchen was covered in ants which resulted in having to throw away the food we purchased for our trip. I had to call twice to get someone to come out and they didn’t even offer to provide a credit for the food we had to throw away.
