BAD EXPERIENCE: DO NOT RENT AT WHITEHORSE MOTEL: I have stayed plenty of times, all went well...except for check out today. The lady blamed us for a broken wire in the A/C unit (which has a cover on it outside the unit, and the cord was wrapped around the unit inside) Whcih the unit is hidden by the long curtins they have there on the window...A curtin in which we DID NOT OPEN/MOVE our entire stay. It was clearly something that happened to the cord prior to my stay (one night) as per the looks of the cut in the cord it looks like it was A. Elecrical issues B. somebody for absolutely no reason cut it upwards and not all the way through? C. they knew the damage was there and decided to pretend we were at fault to keep our 100.00 cash dep., I left the room clean and tidy for the cleaners like I always do. I have never had problems until last night. I am so upset that they would do such a thing after all the great stays I've had there in the past. I will be going to whoever I possibly can to have this resolved. WARNING: Check your room with the person who checks you in ALWAYS so you don't get blamed for someone else's damage or Conned by them.

It was the most reasonable price range compare to the other hotels/motels around the area. I wasn’t sure they have a water saving shower head or just simply clogged shower head. Water pressure wasn’t good either. But it was okay staying with the price.

TV wasn’t working and I needed to call a staff to fix it. The room was clean but I could smell cigarettes slightly in the bathroom. Maybe it was not smoke free environment before. The location was okay distance to downtown but to come back to the motel from downtown was a bit annoying since the street had a divider and you can’t turn left to get to the motel. You have to turn around the roundabout to come back to the motel.

Room was very clean. Not excited about the monkey designer shower curtains 🙄. Bathroom door had white duct tape over a hole. Microwave and fridge was not working in my room (perhaps a blown fuse?🤔) The door to my room had a single flimsy door knob lock... Might have felt a bit safer if there was at least a chain lock added.

The room designated for Expedia members is a downgrade from the rest. There was a strong perfume scent in the room that is unhealthy for allergy sufferers. The bathroom sink was cracked, bathtub heavily stained and toilet was loose, not stable. The beds, we only sat on them, were not very comfortable. I wasnt in the room for long before i reacted to the scents. The young lady at the front desk was so adorable and kind. I was granted a refund but had to pay to clean the room after our departure ($30). I was shown another room but that perfume scent was still there. I would not recommend this place to allergy sufferers, it was the first room booked through an online provider that i ever had to cancel. I would like to make it very clear that staff was so pleasant and accommodating. Management also agreed to a refund without difficulty.

The cons: Very thin blanket on bed, no housekeeping unless asked for, no hairdryer in bathroom, not anything to leave your suitcase on, AND a dreaded pedestal sink. The pros: inexpensive. If you’re just sleeping here it’s fine. Easy driving access to the main touristy things in Charlottetown.

Staff was efficient and friendly, bedding and towels were clean, but unfortunately the condition of the room left something to be desired. With some modernization and renovations it could be a great spot.

Motel was rated as being renovated. Sink in bathroom was cracked in several places. Walls were dirty. Microwave was dirty. Floors were not clean and above all we were sitting on the bed and felt something was biting. We put bedding down there were bugs in the sheets and on the mattress. Mattress had stains on it. We tried calling the office and there was no answer. We left the motel and had to rent another room for the night. I will never return to this motel again. Hopefully expedia will get us our money back.

Property was on a busy street. Room looked nothing like their advertising. It was bare bones. Only a sheet and a blanket on a bed. There was no closet, dresser or even a rack to put my opened suitcase on. Rooms only got cleaned if you told them that you wanted it cleaned. On the upside it was cheap. I won’t stay there again.

If you’re looking for lodging on a budget this property is easy on the wallet. The rooms are ok…no bells and whistles. Clean bed to sleep and showers but the rooms could use some upgrading. The location was great for us. Minutes from some of the things the kids wanted to do. Cavendish beach 30 minutes away. So if you don’t mind compromising for a deal, this will work!

Dirty place altogether. Stinky rooms, sheets smell horrible and the shower curtain is terribly covered in moulds. On top of that, The Air conditioning does not work. The receptionist noted my credit card number as well as drivers license numbers despite booking through Expedia! Stay elsewhere if you care slightest bit about cleanliness.
