What a wonderful surprise nestled in the hills outside of Kinsale. Beautiful property with a great bar and amazing staff. Rooms are well appointed and the view rooms facing the water are worth the little extra $$.

A charming relaxing hotel near kinsale
Lovely spacious room with an outstanding view. The bed was big and very comfortable. The only negative point was a mouldy shower that required attention and the absence of a toilet brush that is common in many hotels and I don’t understand. Overall the room was still great, clean and well looked after. We appreciated the complimentary water every night. We also loved the restaurant area: good food and great ambient. The swimming pool area was very nice and the location of the hotel phenomenal. A morning walk outside the hotel highly recommended.

Lovely location with beautiful views and gardens. Went to a wedding the food at the wedding was good. The only thing that let it down was the breakfast, which was well below standard, I stay again but next time will use room only a rate

A lovely stay
Everything was lovely. Our request for a quiet room away from the hubbub was accommodated. The bathtub and shower were lovely! Our only issue was the bed… it was a bit “slanted” and uneven so I kept rolling toward the center! Samuel and all the staff were all lovely.

A place of calm and comfort.
A place of calm and comfort. A large room with good facilities. The pool and spa area were very clean and there was great views from the pool area. The staff were caring and helpful and the morning buffet breakfast was devine. Having the breakfast on the terrace over looking the estuary was so peaceful.

We booked two rooms and had a terrible experience. First, we had booked a sea view room. When we checked in they gave us the room, but it was not a sea view and they said they had no other sea view rooms available. The rooms were incredibly hot as were the halls. It was max of 65 outside...if they had just opened the windows, the rooms would have been more comfortable. The rooms were not well maintained. They looked dirty and old. One elevator did not work and there were stains on the carpets. The breakfast was terrible...inedible. Find another property in the beautiful town of Kinsale.

Dear Natasha,Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate you taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry that you failed to mention that you were upgraded to a suite at no additional cost and that we offered you an alternative room which granted was on the ground floor but with the view. Also, that we also refunded 50% both of your room and your daughters room. That why it is disappointing to read your review which omits these items.The hotel does not have AC you would be used to in the US, Ireland has maybe two week of a heat wave, but we did open the balcony and provided additional solutions. On a positive note, we are starting a full refurbishment of the bedrooms this winter and would love to welcome you back during 2024

This property is well worth the drive and the views are spectacular. Breakfast was super and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the pool and gym and would highly recommend this property to friends and family.

Enjoyable stay in Kinsale
Very enjoyable stay . Lovely spacious clean room. Very comfortable bed. Excellent bar food..had beef burger and fish and chips..tasty. Used the leisure facilities..pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Nice water temperature and plenty of staff on hand keeping the whole area clean. The staff throughout the hotel were pleasant and helpful. Lovely spacious foyer to relax in. We'll be back

This hotel is located a short drive away from Kinsale. It is not within easy walking distance of the harbour area, but this was not an issue for us since we had a car. The main advantages of this hotel were that it was quiet, modern, well maintained, had a very nice restaurant, and lots of parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were modern fitness facilities, but we did not use them. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Standards have slipped drastically
The hotel is a little dated and I wouldn’t consider it to be 4 star anymore. Lacking the small touches such as water in the room, bathrobes etc. The pool area is nice but changing rooms need refurbishing. We ate at the restaurant and the food was really good but the staff were all over the place. The desert menu was interesting with a few alternative options and I asked the waitress could they recommend anything and she bluntly said no! We had a bad experience with trying to pay the food bill, we were given a slip of paper to fill out which we did and included a gratuity, signed with our room details. Later that evening while relaxing in the room we got a call to come to reception as they had forgotten to take an imprint of my card at check in and so they couldn’t charge my dinner bill. I went to reception and offered to pay then and they said no that the imprint would be sufficient etc At 11.30pm that night we were asleep when we heard loud banging on the door and it was a different person from the restaurant with a new bill demanding payment. They woke my 6 year old and it was not a nice experience. There seems to be a complete lack of communication between staff. We checked out the next day and realised my son had left his charger behind so I called a couple of days later and they said they would check and ring me back. I rang again 3 days later and they said they were still checking and to stop calling as they would let me know when they have the time to check! I give up

We stayed one night at this hotel and really enjoyed our time. Our room was spacious, beds very comfortable, nice big bathroom with option of shower or bath very helpful when traveling with babies. Haveing an option of a cooling fan was nice on hot days. We had breakfast the next day which was very nice and left us feeling full and satisfied for our day ahead. Would definitely stay again.

Great location to explore around Kinsale, and west Cork. Only a short drive to Cork city also. Clean room with a great view down to the sea. Arrived late but still got great bar food. Good breakfast included with plenty of choice. Staff couldn't be better. Looking forward to going back.
