"Fantastic family resort -everything you could want"
Fabulous resort - some rooms a bit tatty with things not working (telephone) - we were in a 2 bed apartment and whilst bedrooms were fantastic, living room could have been made more comfortable to use as a living room (it was more like a waiting room). Resort, facilities, location and staff were fantastic though and we would go back.

"4years on......"
We visited this hotel 4 years ago and returned because of the good experience. It is still a good hotel by Corfu standards but there are some things to consider. It is not quite a 4 star anymore it's close but the hotel looks tired in places. Some of the walls in our room had been given a new coat of paint but it hadn't been done all over and you could see the misses from a roller. It's not obvious as you could only see in certain light. A hotel for peo older than 35 I would say. The beds are not great. We were lucky enough to have a spare fold up bed in the room and used the mattress from it as a topper. there is no where to relax in the evenings except the large lounge or your room. So when the entertainment starts at 930 (too late really) the only place to surf the net or play cards or read quietly or talk is your room. The hotel could really do with another public space for this. The food is plentiful and has a lot of variety but after 2 weeks it does get a bit samey so visits to the local tavernas are popular. The staff are its biggest asset and are brilliant. The rooms are cleaned and linen changed daily. I understand that Thomson are turning this into a platinum resort and from our travels around the whole island it seems to be the only hotel where any investment is being made. It's a fantastic location as long as you are mobile as its at the top of a hill and there are many steps down to the beach. I can understand their reasons and hope that it's as good the next time

"Good resort with shocking staff"
Overall a very enjoyable 2 weeks. The resort is a good size and getting around is easy. The resort has some great points, some not so great and some are just down right terrible. The resort is perfect for families with kids up to the age of 12 as the kids club is focused on 5 - 8 years old. The food in the restaurant buffet is a 6.5 out of 10 with a lot of choice which reduces the overall quality. The Italian restaurant beside the beach is perfect and does great pizza, pasta and salads, I would highly recommend this. The a la carte was nice with a great sea view so it was a pleasant meal. One thing to note is that they have one red wine, one white white (both are terrible quality) and one beer which is a light. So you are very limited in what you get "all inclusive". I believe there are other cocktail drinks and spirits, but the ones they give you would likely not be the one you would have ordered, e.g. I like Gordon's Gin, but I had to pay for it. The Beach is narrow and doesn't have enough chairs, which are snapped up early. The usual problem with people putting towels down and not using the seats is rampant and is meant to be managed but it isn't. The water temperature is perfect and the water is very safe for children. There is no life guard. The pool is large, again the space around it is narrow but it is good for kids. The staff never smile and give you the impression you are disturbing them and on occasion they were just down right ignorant.

Originally when we arrived we thought what had we let ourselves in for; as it seemed we had arrived at a holiday camp. We had expected it to be more of a hotel. From that point our hearts sank. As the holiday progressed the camp revealled itself to be a wonderful place to either relax and unwind or take a full bunch of kinds on holiday. We had a wonderful time. Jason the rep was a great no nonsence and always cheerful. On the downsides: The beds are shocking. Really thin and nasty like trying to sleep on a bag of bricks, if you have a bad back dont go there. Take plenty of mozzie spray, everybody was being masacred and they really itch The transfers are a little tricky as the documentation isnt very clear. You need to look for Lords Travel which are on the right. There are usually other holiday reps who will help if you get into trouble at the airport. On the good side: This has been a great holiday for us it is a truly beautiful island definitely hire a car for a day or 2 and roam around the island its amazing. Take a boat trip round the island its wonderful.

Sidari Beach Hotel

"A calm haven"
Sidari Beach Hotel is a lovely hotel that is sadly situated in a horrible town in Corfu. The hotel itself is almost faultless - the staff are perfection, the hotel modern and clean, the food really good quality and the location really great - i.e. away from the main town on a very quiet road overlooking the sea. The only issues with the hotel are that there is no beach directly in front and the beach in Sidari is worth giving a very wide berth. You need a car to get around from the hotel as it is 45 mins from Corfu town (or 2 hours on the bus) and 1 hour to the nearest, nicest beaches (Paleokastritsa, Kerasia). Also, wi-fi is only available in the reception area (not even in the dining room or outside deck) so you need to be prepared to switch off whilst you're there or sit with in reception (which is comfortable actually!) Rooms are furnished very well with comfy beds and pillows, half decent hairdryer, fridge, electric safe, plenty of wardrobe space, good shower and decent air con. I'd stay there again because it was a really classy place, but be prepared to venture outside Sidari everyday unless you just want to sit by the pool.

"Nice hotel and facilities nice staff"
Was a lovely Hotel however the bungalow(in the gardens) was cute but dated. damp smell ill fitting door and broken lighting. the room décor was tiered needs refurb. Did stay for two nights in the main hotel and the room was much better with stunning views. Food was good but didn't offer any drink with evening meal all we wanted was water and was quite expensive and not always cold. All in all a nice place to stay. The garden area and the hotel grounds where very well kept (well done gardening team and cleaning team)

Very nice place to stay, right at the beach with beautiful garden. One of the few places in Corfu where you don't need to cross the road to get to the sea.
