I booked 2 nights accommodation in this hotel at over £200 per night for a single use room, but assuming it was a decent sized room with a double bed as shown in the hotel's photographs. I was therefore shocked to find my room was tiny with a single bed and an ensuite bathroom the size of a caravan bathroom. The window looked out onto a fire escape and back alley. I queried this with reception who said not all rooms were the same size. I was moved to a bigger room after 30 mins but it still had a single bed. The quality of the furnishings/fittings were not great i.e. a shelf in the bathroom that was broken and unusable, a storage unit that was warped and ready for the skip and no shelf in the shower area. The tiny duvet didn't even cover the whole bed! The room looked out on to the railway with frequent trains which was noisy - no double glazing fitted. This would all be acceptable in a 2 or 3 star (max) hotel but not a 4 star at these prices.
