Excellent location. small rooms

Posted 18-Jul-2017
Pros: The location and the breakfast.
Cons: Upgrade bathroom.
Location: It is next door to Tivoly and train station.
The hotel is located near the train station and within walking distance from many important sites. The room was quite small. Bathroom was moldy. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was great.

Convenient location old style hotel

Posted 30-Jun-2017
Located next to Central Station and Tivoli amusement park so it is a very convenient place. But the hotel facilities are old style. For instance, needs to unplug coffee pot for charging the cell phone.

very well located hotel

very well located hotel just beside the central train station. walking distance to all sites. ask for a room not overlooking the trains (that circulate at night also). The wifi was not working properly. Expensive but Copenhagen is expensive.

City break

Posted 22-May-2017
Pros: It had a nice old bar/reception area. It was well located. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Rooms need modernising and clearer descriptions of room size and bed size when booking is essential. I felt ripped-off. This isn't London or New York!
Location: The Tivoli Gardens amusement park is opposite the hotel. The main visitor centre and central rail station are also very close.
I booked 2 nights accommodation in this hotel at over £200 per night for a single use room, but assuming it was a decent sized room with a double bed as shown in the hotel's photographs. I was therefore shocked to find my room was tiny with a single bed and an ensuite bathroom the size of a caravan bathroom. The window looked out onto a fire escape and back alley. I queried this with reception who said not all rooms were the same size. I was moved to a bigger room after 30 mins but it still had a single bed. The quality of the furnishings/fittings were not great i.e. a shelf in the bathroom that was broken and unusable, a storage unit that was warped and ready for the skip and no shelf in the shower area. The tiny duvet didn't even cover the whole bed! The room looked out on to the railway with frequent trains which was noisy - no double glazing fitted. This would all be acceptable in a 2 or 3 star (max) hotel but not a 4 star at these prices.
