Generator Copenhagen

Adelgade 5, Copenhagen - Map
"Easy and good facilities"
Hostel was pretty great. Had excellent facilities in the rooms. Staff were really nice. Although I forgot a towel and there wasn't one in the room. It was in walking distance of everything and supermarket was right around the corner. The only downside was that the top bunk was VERY close to the roof. Making up the bed was a massive pain.

Copenhagen Admiral Hotel

Toldbodgade 24-28, Copenhagen - Map
"Good base for sightseeing in Copenhagen "
We stayed for two nights at the Admiral hotel and were pleasantly surprised on our arrival to be given a room upgrade to a junior suite (had booked deluxe room). Our room was over two levels with living area and bathroom on one level and stairs up to bedroom. Overall room was clean, but could do with an update as decor was a bit dated, but had nice views over city. We didn't experience any noise issues from other residents or outside the hotel. The hotel is approx 30mins from the airport by taxi and fares around 300kr. The Hotel is well located, close to Nyhaven area and the Royal Palace, but you can also walk into centre of Copenhagen easily from the hotel within 15-20mins at a gentle pace. Only downside was bar service was a little slow, could do with more than one person serving at peak times.

Hotel Kong Arthur

Norre Sogade 11, Copenhagen - Map
"Pleasant hotel, well located"
We stayed at the Kong Arthur during a short break in Copenhagen and found it very pleasant. In particular the staff were very approachable and helpful, and the room was quiet and of a reasonable size (there was plenty of space, even with a large double bed and sofa). The Cozy Hour, with a free drink, was a nice touch. The hotel is well placed for exploring the Rosenberg Palace, and botanical gardens, and not too far from a super covered market. It's a 15 minute walk to the centre, however and about the same to Tivoli Gardens. The Tivoli Christmas market was the main reason for our trip, and although there was not much of a market there as such we had a great time: the gardens are huge and all the rides and stalls (mainly food) were lit up, with everyone intent on having a good time.

Pocket Guide: Copenhagen Copenhagen City Centre Independent Hotels

The formerly fortified centre is now encircled by parks and criss-crossed with paved pedestrian streets. Nearly all of Copenhagen’s sights are here, including Amalienborg Palace, Christiansborg Castle, the National Art Museum, Tivoli Gardens, the Royal Danish Theatre and the Round Tower. The Little Mermaid sculpture sits by the harbour in Churchill Park. Strøget has many restaurants and shops, and remains at the centre of the city's night life.
