"Quirky choice"
Enjoy staying in quirky places and this fitted the bill perfectly. City centre hotel with a difference and although only a 10 min walk to centre this felt more peaceful. Rooms small but functional and had a great view of the river

"Easy and good facilities"
Hostel was pretty great. Had excellent facilities in the rooms. Staff were really nice. Although I forgot a towel and there wasn't one in the room. It was in walking distance of everything and supermarket was right around the corner. The only downside was that the top bunk was VERY close to the roof. Making up the bed was a massive pain.

"Close to the centre of the city"
The room was small but adequate for 1-2 assuming you were not going to spend any time there. Close to the Metro and the centre of town, it would probably be best for a business traveller but is still close to all the sights. Breakfast was plentiful and decent. Local area was fairly quiet but still some good restaurants and bars within 5-10 minutes walk

"Excellent location "
In a beautify building - furnished in Danish style - but don't expect air conditioning. Breakfasts are excellent and don't miss cosy hour! Close to the city centre (one stop on the metro - and walkable in 15 minutes) but without the hustle and noise. Also an location to get to from the airport and for touring the region with superb metro and train links.

"Modern rooms, central location, and good rates"
I chose Hotel Alexandra as it was only a few blocks from the central train station and provided a convenient base of operations for a few days in Copenhagen. The hotel was modern with a friendly staff. My room was spacious with free WiFi. As part of their green initiative, they offered a voucher for lunch/dinner if you declined daily made service. Overall a great place to stay and their rates were very competitive.

"Comfortable stay in wonderful neighborhood "
Love the location of this hotel - very close to the amazing Torvehallerne food market, metro, and many wonderful restaurants. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and our upgraded room spacious and pretty. The deserved reputation for great Danish design does not apply to bathrooms (why not contain the shower water rather than have to squeegee it into a drain when you are done?) which are lacking in counter and storage space. Get a room with a bathtub and you will have a great stay.

"A basic hotel"
We spent 3 nights in the hotel. Location is great, close to the central station, nice bars & shops. The hotel is quite old, very small rooms with an extremely low ceiling (we were on the 6th floor) but clean & the bed is comfortable. The hotel is good if you're only planning to sleep & take a shower. Breakfast wasn't so varied and quite basic. The staff is nice and helpful. WI FI didn't work so well on the 6th floor & disconnected a lot.

Pocket Guide: Copenhagen Copenhagen City Centre Independent Hotels

The formerly fortified centre is now encircled by parks and criss-crossed with paved pedestrian streets. Nearly all of Copenhagen’s sights are here, including Amalienborg Palace, Christiansborg Castle, the National Art Museum, Tivoli Gardens, the Royal Danish Theatre and the Round Tower. The Little Mermaid sculpture sits by the harbour in Churchill Park. Strøget has many restaurants and shops, and remains at the centre of the city's night life.
