We had a wonderful stay at Mayan Hills. The staff were very helpful and the food was good. Beautiful setting. We enjoyed visiting the ruins and parrot sanctuary.

The hills on the property were beautifully landscaped, and the butterfly observation room was a wonderful surprise. We were perplexed to not see any local Mayans at the Mayan Hills.

Nice hotel with lots of stairs. Not suitable for wheelchair, elders or strollers. The staff was very kind and helpful. No complaints with any staff member. The family cabins where big, confortable but didnt feel soo clean. The bathroom towels felt old and didnt smell fresh. The property is beautiful, the pool was nice and clean. Overall if you dont have a problem with stairs, youll be fine. We just hope they clean the rooms a little better.

The hotel was very beautiful. All the plants and the butterfly garden was amazing. There was some mold on the bathroom shower floor/walls. Honduras is very humid but I wish there was a bit more upkeep in that aspect. The restaurant/bar closes super early. We went down to have a drink (I think around 7PM) and it was already closed. Overall, the staff was nice and welcoming. PS. keep in mind the walls are paper thin. I could hear everything from the rooms next to me and anything going on outside. I would stay here again no doubt.

There were multiple power outages during our second day and the hotel seemed unable to turn on the backup generator to keep air condition running and lights on. Given the hot weather and traveling with a baby, this was less than ideal. Also the property has multiple sets of stairs to enter and exit the rooms and property, and ramps are limited and at times were blocked which made it hard to carry luggage.

Lovely rooms and site. WiFi was poor and needs strengthening. The gym was great but played music loudly late into the night. Could put a door in front or something.
