Cooke City, at the entrance of Yellowstone's NE Gate and Lamar Valley This spacious, new cabin is exactly what many picture when planning a vacation to the heart of Yellowstone Country and is perfect for a group of friends or a family. It boasts two upstairs bedrooms; one bedroom has two queen beds, and the other has one. There is also an additional twin bed upstairs that is not located in a bedroom. Weeds everywhere around all surrounding structures, growing up in between the steps looked like the whole town needs to invest in a mower and weed-eater. The front of the office looks like someone ran into it. The inside of the office was very dark, had people that had trouble understanding English at front desk. The restaurant is only open during the winter.Finding a place to eat was difficult after 9:00 pm The cabin itself was very clean and beds were comfortable so once you overlook the grungy outside it was a great place to stay.Beautiful mountain views. The Cabin was comfortable for 6 of us, only one bathroom which was a bit of hold up sometimes. Kitchen wasn't super well stocked as far as cooking utensils, but we made it work. Bedrooms and living area was fantastic and the views were awesome. Okay location for Yellowstone, Tower Road was closed so we had to drive further than normal a couple days because of that.
