We are located within walking distance to shops and restaurants in the historic town of Cooke City, MT. There are countless activities right outside your door including hiking, 4 wheeling, fishing, sight seeing, wildlife watching, skiing, snowmobiling only to name a few. This cabin is a duplex and the Fox Den is the LOWER unit. This unit is a 1 bedroom with a kitchenette that has a small fridge, two-burner stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster oven. There is a small dining table and a bunk bed in the main room. The bunk bed is a twin bed over a double bed. The bedroom has a queen bed. The cabin is the downstairs unit (half basement) and has lots of windows and natural light. There is a washer and dryer in the bathroom. The UPSTAIRS unit is also a vacation rental called the Eagle's Nest Cabin. Guests will have access to the entire space. Guests must go down stairs to access the cabin. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns about roads and the conditions. There is no cell service in Cooke City. We recommend enabling wifi calling and texting prior to your visit if you need to communicate with outside parties during your stay. There are limited groceries in Cooke City. We recommend shopping in a bigger town prior to your arrival. Basic groceries may be purchased at the High Country Motel or the gas stations in town. If you have additional guests in your party, we would love to have them stay at one of our other cabins that are very close by. Good proximity to the park. kitchen faucet sprayer was faulty. Bathroom door situation with vent fan situation was a little wonky, and water heater was really noisy. Also, would be nice to have a deck/porch to enjoy time in the sun. Walking downstairs to a dark, unfinished entry was a little creepy. It’s designed for a younger family (at least the bunk bed is) but all worked out great for two “old guys.” We could warm our pre-cooked meals in the microwave, and the small fridge was enough for most of our food (my friend always brings a big chest cooler with ice for most of his food… and there was plenty of room in the cabin for that). Also plenty of room for all of our fly fishing gear (hooks/pegs for waders, etc). Excellent stay. ##### Henry D. There was no "oven" I wanted to make a pizza but the toaster oven they had was miniature. The refrigerator was also miniature and not very cold. We ended up having to throw most of our food out. The freezer was frozen over.. shortly after we checked in I thought you know I think I wanna leave a day early so we did to leave a day early but we were denied. But we left a day early anyway and took a loss. The worst problem I would have to say was the spiders in the bedroom. I understand it's spring and spiders are hatching but when you have people staying in your VRBO there should be proper measures taken to make sure that the bedroom is not full of spiders. Kind of hard to relax when you know there are spiders crawling around. I would definitely stay in Cooke city again but not here. The hostess did offer to come and inspect and assured me the spiders were not poisonous. Still. The couch was only big enough for two people it was a loveseat. I would say this was probably a perfect place for men who were snowmobiling. It had all the necessities in order to feel at home away from home: the queen size bed was so comfy; the bathroom had a dryer and washer, and bathroom essentials from washing detergent to extra towels; the kitchen was ideal to cook a home cook meal after a whole day of exploring Yellowstone. Town has food establishments, and stores, within walking distance. Loved the local coffee shop! Clean, perfect amount of room for the 4 of us.
