Luxury, space, sea views, beach 100m The details at Dos Horizontes are subtle (the green and white garden conserving the autochthonous plants and gnarly pines, the white-tiled pool, the thin strip of Costa de la Luz horizon as seen from the terrace, and the carefully selected colour contrasts and mix of old and new in the interiors); but the overall impact is everything but …this is a beach house to knock your socks off! Built in 2015 for a large family and their friends, it is a house that was clearly planned with one thing in mind, enjoyment! From the panoramic roof-top terrace to the domed outdoor living area and to the kitchen that would pamper even the most capricious of chefs, Dos Horizontes is all about pleasure. Less than 100 metres from the stunning Roche beach, Dos Horizontes is built over 4 floors in a large garden with sea views from 4 of its 7 bedrooms. The spaces are large, the finishings are luxury, and the design….well, design is always a matter of taste, but we think it is beautiful! You enter through a courtyard, a modern take on the traditional Moorish patio, this one with four tall palms and a tiny fountain in the middle. As you pass through the massive glass front door you get a view along the hall to the sitting room and the magnificent outdoor living area beyond. The ground floor contains one of the seven bedrooms and also a TV room with big comfy sofas. But the main living areas are the kitchen/dining area, the sitting room, and the outdoor living area, which connects with the sitting room via sliding glass doors. It is difficult to imagine a more complete kitchen in a beach house: all the appliances you would normally expect, cooking tools of every shape and size, and a wonderful selection of coloured crockery (for formal and less formal meals). At one end of the kitchen you have an eating area with a round table, and beyond that, through a set of glass doors, the covered outdoor dining area, ideally placed for the morning sun. Off the kitchen/dining area is the large sitting room. Here you will find deep sofas, bookshelves, and an open fire, which form an ideal space for the cooler evenings of spring and autumn. There is underfloor heating and central heating throughout in case you are here during a cold snap! But the marble floors, high ceilings, large windows, and luxurious space of the sitting room make it the perfect living area all year round. Despite all this, it is probably not here that you will spend most of your time; the outdoor living area, which opens off the far end of the sitting room and gives direct access to the pool, is just too tempting! Here, you can adjust the giant electric roller shutters on the three outer walls to generate just the right amount of breeze and shade, lounge under the domed roof on yet another set of comfy sofas or on one of the giant bean bags, and if it does get too warm, you are within rolling distance of the stunning white-tiled pool (watch how it changes colour with the hues of the sky), one of most beautiful private pools we have seen. And beyond, the horizon of the shimmering Atlantic. It is less than 100m down to the beach. The first floor contains five more bedrooms, four with sea views and all with en suite bathroom and large walk-in shower. The master suite has a specially large bathroom and also a large outdoor shower. Each room is decorated differently, from the more classic main bedroom through to bright colours and interesting modern art in the others. The roof terrace on the third floor is a show-stopper: a carpet of green pines to the east; the sea to the west; and on a clear day, Morocco on the horizon to the south. This is your evening chill-out zone, the place for a sundowner and from which to enjoy the full glory of a Costa de la Luz sunset, which, depending on the time of year, will be somewhere between the island of Sancti Petri to your right and the lighthouse of Conil to your left. In the basement, you have the seventh bedroom (again en suite), a playroom with TV, and an additional bathroom. Like many of the DosXtremos houses, Dos Horizontes is located on the Roche estate. This means you have one of the Costa de la Luz best beaches (and the competition is high!) right on your doorstep. A short walk of about 200m will take us to the local shop, pharmacy, a couple of bars and restaurants, and childrens’ playground. Roche also has its own tennis and padel courts and five-a-side football pitches. In the summer months, there are several beach bars/restaurants to choose from within walking distance, some of which are now staying open all year. A 5-minute drive will then provide you with a far larger selection of both bars and restaurants. The area offers an endless list of activities and if you book with us, we provide you with detailed information on all our recommendations, details on local amenities, and our up-to-date guide to the best of everything! Die Lage zum Meer, die Einrichtung des Hauses, es war perfekt. Einziger Mangel auf hohem Niveau: Der riesige Pool ist nicht beheizt und war schon recht kühl. Selbstverständlich würden wir das Haus wieder mieten. Die Agentur war sehr hilfsbereit und hat bei Fragen sofort geantwortet. Es wäre hilfreich, wenn bei der Hausübergabe eine kurze Einweisung in die Geräte stattgefunden hätte. So haben wir uns durchgekämpft. Die FEWO Gebühr finden wir allerdings zu hoch. ##### Gerhard H. The only downside of the stay was putting up with the regular wafts of the local sewage treatment centre. But that’s something outside the control of the property. The house is uncredible, each room is individually decorated and you feel at home immediately. The lounge area with the pool is very relaxing. The kitchen is extremely well equiped! To have the first morning coffee on the roof terrace was gordious. Andrew and Maria were very kind and helping and had good recommendations for us for everything! Die Alterspanne der Teilnehmer betrug von 23 bis 79 Jahre. In und um das Haus fehlt es an nichts, ...an absolut garnicht‘s - für alle Altersgruppen. Das Wetter war spitze und die „Sun-downer“ Terrasse ist ein echter Traum. Karibik feeling fast vor der Haustüre, in nur knapp 2.000 km Entfernung zu unser Heimat in Deutschland entfernt. Der Mega lange Sandstrand von fast 10km länge ist mit seinem feinkörnigen Sand ein Paradies für ausgedehnte Wanderungen, Strandläufe oder andere Sportaktivitäten hervorragend geeignet. Pferde Ausritte zum Sonnenauf- oder Sonnenuntergang sind möglich. Golfplätze gibt es in großer Anzahl. Da wir mit 6 Kerlen unterwegs waren, durfte ein Rennen auf der Circuito de Kartbahn in Chiclana nicht fehlen. Ausflugsziele gibt es reichlich, zb. nach Cadiz, Sevilla oder Gibraltar und sind in kürzester Zeit gut zu erreichen. Eins steht fest...wir waren nicht zu letzt mal hier!!! Séjour de 8 nuits en septembre 2019 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### David N. 21 juin 2019 Points forts : Propreté #### The best villa holiday we've had in Europe Our stay at Dos Horizontes was totally incredible. Perfect setting, perfect service. So so much fun. 12 out of 10\. Hard to imagine but the photos don’t do it justice at all. It's like staying in your own small 5 star hotel. No one compromised on rooms, all of them were perfect. We were a group of 7 adults and 5 kids (non-of whom could swim yet) and the kitchen, living areas, pool zone and proximity to the beach (with surfing and a bar) were incredible. We were a little concerned about supervising around the pool with young kids, but you can largely shut off access to the pool for parts of the day (early in the morning) when there is a risk small children could sneak off. This is due to large mechanical wind breaks that drop into the patio area. The pool was one of the best hangout spots we’ve ever had in a villa. Running a close second was the roof terrace, which we watched the sunset from most evenings. You also get Seville, Tarifa and Cadiz thrown into the mix. If you wanted any more endorsement of Roche and the surrounding area of southern Spain, one of our group quit their job when they got back and is moving out there. Other friends from Australia decided to stay on and explore for 2 months. To good not to share and we will certainly be back! Thank you team DosXtremos! ##### David N. La casa es una maravilla, la localización, la construcción, el equipamiento, todo de auténtico lujo. Muy recomendable. Increíble. Las fotos del anuncio, aunque están bien, no reflejan del todo la realidad de la casa. Esta las supera. Sin duda.. La atención por parte de Andrew extraordinaria. Our extended family of 11 (6 adults and 5 children) stayed here for a week. The house has plenty of room for everyone to spread out both inside and outside. A fantastic kitchen and large tables for dining made group meals easy. The beach was only a block away and when we weren't there, we could hang out at the pool at the house which entertained the kids late into the night. The rooftop deck had a view of the ocean and was a great place to have our drinks while watching the sunset or the stars. There are several small towns in the area with dining options plus several bars along the beach. Groceries, a pharmacy, a playground, sport courts, and a zip line park are close by. Andrew was fantastic at getting us settled in and making suggestions for sightseeing and dining. He even provided us with some Spanish translation when we needed it and connected us with a cook to provide us with a memorable home-cooked meal in this fantastic house.
