"We had the attic room and it's very spacious. The bedroom has a huge bed that is not too soft and we slept like the dead. Dual aspect with sky lights. Fan and extra soft cuddly blankets if needed. Hairdryer, ironing board, iron and microwave. However, the fridge was the reason I booked. A seating area where you can chill without a TV on and a small book shelf with a wide variety of books. "We had a lovely lodge that was secluded, quiet, and private. We really enjoyed the open design and it felt calming and relaxing. The grounds were beautiful and inviting, with sea views from our restaurant dining room table! We definitely want to return, but for a longer stay in the not-so distant future!"

"Property okay- adequate for a short stay. In need of a bit of TLC. Room clean and spacious enough. Tea/coffee and small fridge. Swimming pool onsite which we used a lot due to heat! Also in need of TLC but large enough to cool off and enjoy. Fan only in room. No air conditioning. Staff friendly and helpful. Walkable but not a lot to see- we drove to beach etc. co-op and a couple of choices to eat. Restaurant onsite. Fairly quiet area though near a main lane/road. Plenty of car parking which we are discovering is valuable!!"

"We are a family of 4 (kids 8 and 11) staying in a room set up as a family room - double bed and the kids sharing a sofa bed. The room was snug but really good. Each room is 3 old cells knocked into 1, with the bathroom taking up 1/3 or of the room. The bathroom was really good and enormous. The staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant served good bistro food, and you could sit out in the courtyard which was very pleasant. The breakfast was also great and worth the money. The hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The only issue (and this is no fault of the hotel) is that the town of Bodmin itself is…er…a dump! So you’re kind of stuck eating in the hotel unless you drive somewhere. But as a fun and interesting place to stay, and being very close to Lanhydrock, we had a lovely time. I think the other reviews slightly undersold it."

"We had a lovely stay there with our family. The cottage we stayed in had all amenities and plenty of space. The cottage didn’t have AC but there was a fan and the staff was accommodating when we asked for a second one. The pool and facilities were well maintained and clean. The restaurant was okay for something on site. Beautiful location by the river. Friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay."
