The setting of the bungalows - amidst lush green trees, flowers and abutting the ocean - was very special. The bungalows were lovely and comfortable, reflecting the colonial past yet very distinctly Vietnamese and with modern conveniences. The staff are very helpful; excellent food; and fabulous massages. Kayaks; bicycles; motor scooters; and more are available for free or very cheaply. Perfect for gentle water sports, hiking or and other nature activities or for simply staring at the ocean in a deck chair with a drink and book. Their response was simple the fact that we had signed a waiver, when according to regulations they needed at least two lifeguards on duty, but they didn’t even have one. They had a security personnel who was also in charge of keeping the area clean. We almost lost our lives here, and if not for the breaks in the storm, and the life jacket, we wouldn’t have survived our ordeal. A vacation turned into a nightmare, a pivotal point in our lives, to not trust resorts with our own safety. We were left to fight the storm and struggle ourselves to float and survive and make it back to shore. Our 40 minute struggle with the storm may not seem like a big deal, but given that there was a typhoon warning, you can make your own calculations. Regardless the sheer negligence of the resort, and their response when we got back was to ask where is the other kayak? That’s just ridiculous. They claimed that we had signed a waiver and that will protect them from any law suit. The waiver is a generic waiver for injury:property loss and not against a storm that we were let to go out in. We made a police report and were asked to settle for a nights dinner and no charge for property loss as we were asked to stay in Con Dao for months to actually process a charge against them. Das Resort liegt auf einem 8 Hektar großem Grundstück, dass sehr gepflegt ist. Beim Spazierengehen entdeckt man immer wieder etwas Neues. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß mit einem Außenbad und wurde täglich gereinigt. Alle in der Anlage Arbeitenden sind äußerst freundlich, hilfsbereit und respektvoll (vom Gärtner, über die Mitarbeiter in der Rezeption, des Restaurants, des Fahr- und des Zimmerservices usw.). Dies gilt auch für die Damen im Spa. Ich hatte bei Miss. Nghan eine wundervolle Massage. Wir haben jeden Abend im Restaurant gegessen und es war nicht nur schmackhaft, sondern auch fürs Auge zubereitet. Sowohl Pool und Strand sind sehr gepflegt und liegen eingebettet in einer traumhaften Natur. In anderen Bewertungen wird immer der Müll am Strand angesprochen. Im Hotelbereich wird täglich mehrmals gereinigt. Doch was das Meer jeden Tag anschwemmt, ist ein Problem, das diese kleine Insel nicht lösen kann. Nur weil man Urlaub hat, sollte man nicht die Augen vor der weltweiten Umweltverschmutzung verschließen. Im Hotel gibt es kein Plastil und man ist sehr darauf bedacht, die Umwelt zu schützen. Bei der Planung von Ausflügen war uns das Hotel immer eine Unterstützung (z.B. was den Transport betrifft).
