You will be welcomed by a bright living room with a comfortable double sofa bed (Please note: the sofa bed is not prepared for your arrival, because we think it is correct that you can use the sofa during the hours not dedicated to sleep. You will find sheets, pillows and blankets in the cupboard/shelf nearest the sofa). Opposite the sofa is a TV cabinet, while behind it is a round white table that can seat up to four people, perfect for lunches and dinners with friends, but also as a work or study station. A touch of originality is provided by the canvas depicting the village of Varenna, highlighting the beauty of this famous location. The kitchen, modern and white with a wooden countertop, is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and everything you need to cook like at home. The bedroom is comfortable and refined, with a large double bed in dark tones that creates a pleasant contrast with the brightness of the room, provided by a large window. A coat rack and a cabinet with drawers provide ample space for storing clothes. The modern bathroom is clad in white marble and equipped with all amenities, including a washer/dryer and a spacious shower. The walls are decorated with floral motifs in shades of blue, adding a fresh and original touch. The flat has a balcony furnished with a small table and a deckchair, ideal for relaxing in the fresh air. Quality bed linen, towels and a courtesy kit are provided. We also leave a gift basket with the necessities for your breakfast. Free Wi-Fi available. The flat does not have a private car park, but there are several public car parks in the vicinity. Stroll along the Diga Foranea (breakwater), reaching the modern artwork 'The Life Electric' by the famous Libeskind! Continue along the lakefront to Viale Geno, its park and villa. At the beginning of Viale Geno is the Funicular railway station to reach Brunate and its lighthouse, where you can stop for lunch in one of the many restaurants, or continue with a panoramic trek to the Lario mountains, with a break in one of the mountain huts you'll encounter along the way. A 30-minute walk or a few minutes by bus (bus stop below the flat) will bring you to the centre of Como and you can stroll through its cobbled streets, shops, bars and restaurants, churches and pretty squares. You will admire the famous Piazza Duomo, with its marvellous cathedral and its Broletto, both worth a visit; Piazza San Fedele, a pretty little square with the Romanesque basilica of the same name; Via Vittorio Emanuele, one of the most famous streets for shopping; Piazza Volta, very lively for aperitifs and after-dinner al fresco dining all year round; Porta Torre, one of the historic entrances to the walled city. In just a few minutes you arrive in Piazza Cavour, the largest square in Como, in front of which you can take the Navigazione Lago di Como boat to the most famous places on the lake (Cernobbio, Blevio, Torno, Laglio, Argegno, Menaggio, Bellagio, Varenna). How to get there: By car: From the A9 motorway take the "Como - Monte Olimpino" exit at the first roundabout take the first exit and continue on "Via Bellinzona". At the second roundabout take the second exit. In 4 minutes you will be in front of the flat, which is on the left hand side. By public transport: When you arrive at the "Como San Giovanni Station" go to the stop "Como - S. Ronchetto" and take the bus N.1 direction "Como-Recchi" for 7 stops and get off at the stop "Como- Roncate (Villa Aprica)". there you will find yourself in front of the flat. Or you can walk to the "Como Lago Station", walk to the stop "Stazione Lago" and take the bus N.7 direction "Como- lungolario trento", get off after 10 stops at the stop "Como - Ceresio (Bixio)".
