Great location
Great people and wonderful location right next to the main harbor in Lake Como). Rooms are small, like old Europe but clean and bathroom Was functional. Staff are great. There is a restaurant attached, food is very good for dinner. Highly recommend the steak and pasta dishes. Breakfast is typical European style, fruits, yogurt, fresh fruit juice and breakfast breads. It is less than 4 minute walk to the ferry dock and two minutes to private boats.

The location of the hotel is excellent walking distance to the center of Como and Finucular We had arrived earlier than check-in time but the room got been ready before check-in time The staff were so polite, friendly and helpful Our room was very clean and facilities are great There was decent size of hair dryer and safe locker Breakfast was great and food in the hotel’s restaurant is so delicious We enjoyed our stay here in this wonderful hotel We will come back in the future Thanks

The view of the lake was spectacular! GREAT location. Close to everything. Service was excellent in hotel and restaurant. Our only complaint is that the bed was so hard you literally could not sleep...actually the worst that I've ever slept in. It would be a wonderful place to stay if they would upgrade the mattress. The room is really small but no problem if you do not plan on spending much time in it.

It had a great view of Lago di Como, but the AC in the room was not adequate for the high outside temperatures. The room overall was extremely clean and the beds were comfortable, but my husband was unable to sleep because of the extreme heat.

This was a great hotel with amazing restaurants attached on-site that has great views of the lake especially terrace. If you take the train in go to Como Lago station not Como Giovanni and then it’s a 4-5 mins walk from station to hotel on a flat surface instead of up and down 30 mins lol

The reception was awesome person, the view was amazing right in center of everything 350 meteres from lago train station. The room itself was okay beds etc. it was great for 1-2 nights who stays in their room. The shower was great and the view of balcony amazing

Convenient location! Right off ferry, near funicular and restaurants. Room was dated - beds were hard … It was like staying in a hostel but way more expensive. Very hot - no ac but did have fans. Staff was very kind.

Very expensive price for a 2 stars hotel.
The room is very tiny, cannot walk event the bed is not queen size bed. Only 2 small size, thin towels. Only location is a plus and get 10% off if you eat at its restaurant.

We had an excellent stay. The staff was friendly and prompt, the room was clean and the location was excellent. Our only negative was our hotel room was very small. The door to the room barely opened past the edge of the bed. Maybe it was just our room.

Hotel Marco’s was clean, comfortable, and literally a stone’s throw from Lake Como. Very nice rooms, about the average size for this type of hotel, and easy walking to several cafes and bars. Some rooms have stunning views of the lake. The lake is simply beautiful, and well worth making a stop on your travels.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful (I totally recommend their hot chocolate). We had dinner at their restaurant and also enjoyed that.

Excellent 3-star hotel and restaurant on the lake.
Excellent staff and management. A friendly, professional team runs this good hotel on the edge of Lake Como. Many rooms have a lake view. The restaurant is excellent, as are so many Italian restaurants, with a wide range of drinks complementing an extensive menu. The owner, Mr Gungor is always working, and chatting with clients. His care shows meticulous attention to detail. The rooms are "practical", 3-star, but completely clean and comfortable. Location is perfect, with easy walking distance to the centre of Como, as well as the many boat pontoons that take you up and down the lake. Also, the funicular railway 50 metres away takes you to the top of the mountain for spectacular views.

Convenient location, walkable to Como center.
Best thing about Marco's was the location, next to the funicular up the mountain to Brunate. They also have a great view of lake from the upper deck of the restaurant, where we had a very good evening dinner. Nice that we could eat meals onsite although there were a few other restaurants a very short walk away.

Extremely friendly and welcoming at Hotel Marco’s. fabulous location overlooking the lake…with restaurants galore outside our window. Maybe a little noisy for some but it didn’t bother us at all. Really enjoyed our stay though the room was fairly basic.

Me and my wife stayed at Hotel Marco´s two nights and simply loved it! The location could not be better, beautiful view over the lake and just few minutes to Como´s city centre. The service was superb, both at the lobby and at the restaurant, food was excellent and we would stay there again, next time.

The service was excellent. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a bit in need of refurbishment, but I think that most of the hotels in Como town are not in great condition. Everything was clean. the breakfast was lovely. the view from the terrace was excellent. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyed the stay and good location. Get a cab to Hotel if you have a bit of luggage. Rooms quite small and very little room for storing suitcases so we came up with the brilliant solution of straddling the luggage rack over the bidet - problem solved! Plenty of restaurants nearby but you have to really like pizza as there are so many pizzerias in Como. Funicular ride is a must as the town at the top is gorgeous for walking around.

The hotel itself is a very old building and that means everything is pretty much outdated (except for the double glass windos that kept the noise and heat away). The biggest downside for me was that upon arrival, I was informef that all the free parking spots were taken and that I would have to pay 10 euros that later became 15 to park in the hotel garage (wich is not even in the building, located arounf the corner, has a very narrow and steep entrance). I purposely booked a room wich was more expensive because it clearly stated that included parking. Dont be fooled by that picture of an open air big parking lot, that is just actually a photo of a nearby piazza with restaurants. The guy that checked us in kindly decided to pardon the charge for parking, but I should not have had to ask or fight for what was clearly mismarketed. At check out, I had to go the same discussion again to avoid paying for parking (diferent clerk wasnt put up to speed about the situation). Other than that, the hotel is clean and has an unbeatable location (front of the lake, right next to the funicular entrance great restaurants in the area). Although old and oudated, everything was well kept and functioning, and the breakfast room has a nice terrace overlooking the lake. Since its an old place, there are no elevators but they will help you get your bags up and down the stairs.

Location is superb; right on the waterfront and close to restaurants and funicolare (transport to hilltop). Super friendly staff at check-in and during stay. Limited free parking; we got a spot as it was off season. Free breakfast was good; in 2nd floor dining room. Yogurt, meat/cheese, boiled egg, pastries and they make your coffee to order. Downfall of hotel was the room. Small but adequate (room 3); however, smelled of cigerette smoke, bed hard as a rock, hair dryer didn't work, and toilet had leaky flapper.

Disappointing visit to a beatuiful area.
We were very disappointed. I didn't get a sense from other reviews how basic the hotel is and how it is really not at all updated. The carpets were old and dirty. The sink in the bathroom was cracked. The woman at the front desk and at breakfast was friendly however when I asked her about taking a ferry she had no information at all. Breakfast, as mentioned in other reviews, was just fine. I would not recommend the hotel - it really is quite basic and needs to be updated. A real plus is the location - that can't be beat!

Very Good Hotel
Perfect location to take the cable car and to look around the lake Como. Also the restaurant affilated with the hotel serves very good dishes at reasonable prices.
