The hotel itself is a very old building and that means everything is pretty much outdated (except for the double glass windos that kept the noise and heat away). The biggest downside for me was that upon arrival, I was informef that all the free parking spots were taken and that I would have to pay 10 euros that later became 15 to park in the hotel garage (wich is not even in the building, located arounf the corner, has a very narrow and steep entrance). I purposely booked a room wich was more expensive because it clearly stated that included parking. Dont be fooled by that picture of an open air big parking lot, that is just actually a photo of a nearby piazza with restaurants. The guy that checked us in kindly decided to pardon the charge for parking, but I should not have had to ask or fight for what was clearly mismarketed. At check out, I had to go the same discussion again to avoid paying for parking (diferent clerk wasnt put up to speed about the situation).
Other than that, the hotel is clean and has an unbeatable location (front of the lake, right next to the funicular entrance great restaurants in the area). Although old and oudated, everything was well kept and functioning, and the breakfast room has a nice terrace overlooking the lake. Since its an old place, there are no elevators but they will help you get your bags up and down the stairs.
