Nice and easy

Only complaint we had was the mold growing in the bathroom around the tub some but otherwise it was clean and rest of hotel was nice too. Valet was very convenient but a little overpriced at $24 for overnight parking.

Downtown

Posted 29-Feb-2016
Pros: Excellent location.
Location: Saw a Broadway tour show Motown the Musical, had dinner at Salt & Pine, drinks at the Tip Top. All within walking distance of the hotel.
I had a short stay in Columbus to see a friend and see a show. Valet guys were polite and efficient. Hotel staff were welcoming and very attentive. The hotel was very clean. My room was large, great view of the Columbus commons, clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

Good hotel near downtown Columbus events.

The hotel was excellent & within walking distance of many activities. We took a short cab drive to the Arena district & there were several great places to eat. Next we went to the palace theater to see a well known comedian. We walked back to the Shareton from there. I highly recommend staying there!

Nice Hotel, Valentines overnight.

Posted 15-Feb-2016
We stayed overnight for Valentines. The check in was smooth although a bit chilly as it was very cold out and the check in is very close to the doors which were letting cold air in like a break in the dam. We ate dinner in the restaurant and were pleased with the service and although every food item wasn't great several were. We caught the Symphony next door at the gorgeous Ohio Theatre and that was nice and easy to get to mostly in doors. There is a Starbucks full restaurant at ground level and that was nice in the morning. Checkout was a breeze and the valet handled both check in and out just fine. All in all and for the price we thought they did a good job and will stay there again.

Friendly atmosphere.

Although it was New Year's Eve, the line moved quickly to register for our room. Everyone was welcoming and pleasant. The Valet parking was an A++. Once we got to our room on the 12th floor, we were unable to reach the front desk to answer some questions that were crucial to our plans for the evening. There was no concierge. We waited on hold for over 30 minutes. Then we gave up. The room seemed dark because of the brown walls and curly light bulbs, some of which were missing. The ice machine, etc. were close by. We are pretty tech savvy, but the tv was a challenge. When we returned to the room to spend the night, the noise from the heating system was loud. Really loud. We had to turn the unit off for the night, and we reported it to the desk when we checked out. The room stayed warm enough without the system running.

Everything great accept in-room lighting. Only one lamp on stand in center of two double beds that had a low watt bulb and wasn't suitable for reading in either bed. Goose neck reading light attached on each side of the head boards are what is needed providing great reading lights to guest.

Nice hotel, great service, no starbucks again

Posted 21-Dec-2015 on Hotels
The only thing that is disappointing with this hotel...is that this is the 3rd time we have stayed in the last year, and both times, the Starbucks is closed by 5pm..and not open at all on Sunday. I was told that it is because low occupancy rate. The teens are super excited to stay at a hotel with a Starbucks, and again, not open. Other than that, it is a great hotel...Over the holiday weekend, 18% occupancy is great for us, but still, the ammenities of downtown columbus are not available...its a shame for the hotel.
