- ![The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899.  
Orton Hall is built of 40 different Ohio building stones. In the outside walls, these stones are laid in stratigraphic order according to their relative positions in Ohio's bedrock. The only non-indigenous to Ohio stone used is Indiana Limestone to build the front steps. It was chosen because of its high concentration of embedded fossils.  
The bell tower was dedicated in 1915 and contains 25,000 pounds of bells that can be heard regularly tolling across campus. Great location, in the middle of all the action: restaurants, shopping, sight seeing. Beautiful park just around the corner. Parking was convenient. Apartment was well appointed, clean and cozy. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing location- within a few hundred feet of tons of restaurants and shops- we walked everywhere we needed to go. Very comfortable condo with everything we needed, including white noise machines in the bedrooms since it’s in a sometimes loud area of town. Decent beds and pillows, plenty of towels and even toiletries. Would definitely stay again.

We were there for a conference. The convention center was easy to access—less than a 10-minute walk—and the area had many restaurants and activities.

#### Sweet location

Right in the heart of the Short North. Lobby door opens to high street, so great location if you want to be right where the restaurants and shops are. Apartment was very clean and had everything for a comfortable stay. Would definitely stay again.

#### Great Location for night life and restaurants Close to the convention center 

We choose Jonathan's space because it was a great location, clean, and had the right amenities. We loved being able to walk to the convention center and also have access to all the great restaurants and such around the apartment. That being said, the location does have quite a bit of noise from restaurants, the Street, people, etc. I sleep soundly, so it wasn't bothersome for me, and there were earplugs available for our lighter sleepers. Jonathan was very communicative and answered all our questions promptly. Overall, great location.

#### Heart of the Short North

We came to Columbus for Alumni weekend at OSU and we could walk to nearly everything at this location. The owner was able to accommodate early check in for us which was great as our flight came in very early. I don’t know when we will be to C-bus again 😩 but I would stay here again!

I really enjoyed my stay. The apartment/condo was great and very clean. Easy to get to. The bed was very comfortable and parking in the back was convenient. Jon answered all my questions and helped me out very quickly if I had a question. Thanks again.

#### Great place for a single couple

The property and the location were great but I had my children with me and the nightlife was a little too lively for them. I absolutely recommend this place just not if you have young children with you. And the property managers were all amazing!! A+++++++ to them!

#### Great Apartment!

My husband and I stayed at the apartment with our adult daughter. We loved the location, we went to many establishments on High Street within walking distance. There's a coffee shop and a juice bar in the morning. We ate dinner at The Eagle right across the street and it was delicious. The building is safe and secure, and there is parking available in a lot behind the building that we could see from the window. We enjoyed the space and the convenience. The host was very nice. He checked on us through email, and we appreciated that. We plan on staying again!

The property was very clean and updated on the inside there was also a lot of security features. However there was a night club behind our BNB that was loud until 4:00am and we had trouble sleeping there were also some sketchy people hanging around the back parking lot near our car but overall we loved the location and walking distance to everything we needed.

#### Celebrating Birthday

I recently stayed at Jonathan's Vrbo and had a wonderful experience. The property was very nice and clean, and check-in was easy. Though finding the door was a bit tricky at first, it was a minor issue in an otherwise seamless process. The place was secure, and the location couldn't have been better – right near High Street, which made exploring the city super convenient. My friends and I had an excellent time. We dropped our stuff off and immediately felt at home. Overall, it was a phenomenal experience, and I will definitely book with Jonathan again the next time I'm in the city.

#### Great location to be close to everything you need! 

The location of this place is walkable or drivable to anything you need. Its located above a nightclub and although it was loud, it wasn't bad. The only issues we had with this building was there was no hot water, lukewarm at best at any hour. The hallways smell like stale cigarette smoke and the parking area you walk into smells like urine. Chaulk it up.to city living, the actual condo was tidy and accommodating for our family of 5\. It was a good home base for our two day trip.

#### Perfect location!!

The apartment was spacious and right in the middle of all the action in Short North. We could walk to many restaurants, boutiques, etc. it was great for my adult daughter and I for a few days getaway. It included free parking and was well supplied. There is a nightclub behind the apartment but the owner supplied white noise machines and ear plugs. The music from there did stop at a reasonable hour so really wasn’t much of an issue for us. Our only issue was the homeless people that camped by the back entrance to the parking lot. We never felt unsafe but the smell and trash was suboptimal. Having said that, the only time it was an issue was going to the car. When we walked (most of the time) we used the front entrance where this was not a problem. We do realize this is beyond the owner’s control and it would not stop us from renting again.

#### Great Location and very comfortable beds

The location in Columbus' Short North is fantastic. There is so much right outside the building's front entrance. The weekend we were there, it was raining, so a number of homeless people used a nearby covered walkway. We never felt threatened, and we walked everywhere. The parking is right out back of the building next to the Axis nightclub. There was some noise from the nightclub, but not enough to bother us. There were earplugs in the room if needed. The entrance to the building needs to be cleaned, but that is not the fault of the unit owner. The apartment was great. It is stocked with just about everything you need. The bathroom is a nice size and also stocked with everything. The beds were super comfortable!
