Experience the wonder of nature with wildlife all around. Deer, beaver, bear, wolves and otter make their home in this mountain paradise. Hear the call of the loons, the screech of the eagles and the stunning silence of the night. Gather around and play some games or relax on the large open front porch as you watch the sunset across the lake. You can row our boat out on the lake to catch some cutthroat trout or bass and there is easy fishing for perch right off your own private dock. Our no-smoking, no pet (or emotional support animal), property is ideal for groups of 2 to 4 people and can accommodate up to 6 people for a small additional fee. We have WiFi and a smart streaming TV on a stand for your use. The cabin will be cleaned to our top notch standards including disinfection of surfaces as well as washing and cleaning towels, sheets and pillowcases between guests. Serene Lakefront cabin is conveniently located 20 minutes from Glacier Park International Airport and 10 minutes from the charming town of Columbia Falls. Only a short drive (20 minutes) to the west entrance of Glacier National Park, our cabin is perfectly situated to allow you to enjoy all the recreational opportunities the area has to offer. The cabin is located on Spoon Lake, right off the paved North Fork Road and only a few minutes from the western park boundary. Our location offers convenient access to all the hiking, fishing, rafting and recreational spots along the North Fork of the Flathead River. From your base at Serene Lakefront Cabin you can set out and explore. Hike the national park trails and take in the stunning beauty of Kintla and Bowman Lakes in the less traveled portion of the park. From highway 2, you can reach Apgar Village at the main west entrance to Glacier National Park. From there, drive the spectacular "Going to the Sun" road to Logan Pass where mountain goats roam free. Serene Lakefront Cabin is conveniently located only 9 miles from Columbia Falls. Explore and shop in the historic western town of Kalispell, just 25 miles away, and enjoy the charm and culture of Whitefish only 18 miles away. Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, is just 35 miles to the south. Back at Serene Lakefront Cabin the pace can slow, allowing all your cares to melt away. The peaceful waters of Spoon Lake are a perfect setting with no motorboats or jet skis to disturb the wildlife. Enjoy free WiFI and limited cell service depending on your provider, the time of day and the weather. We focus on the outdoor experience and our beautiful cabin provides the opportunity to come close together as family and friends. You can cook in the easy access gourmet kitchen while you watch the activities on the lake. Barbecue on the gas grill or play games after a fine day of hiking, shopping or exploring. Use the convenient downstairs bedroom complete with queen bed or climb the stairs to the spectacular lake view from the master bedroom in the comfort of our king bed. Kids (and kids at heart) will enjoy the twin beds in the other upstairs bedroom. Enjoy lower rates by booking stay dates in May or early June as well as September and October. These times offer a quieter and slower paced experience by avoiding the crowds of the peak season. In the spring you can catch hungry fish and watch as the wildlife emerges from the long winter. In the fall enjoy the colors of the turning larch trees while watching wildlife prepare for the coming winter. Please note: Our cabin may not be appropriate for those who have difficulties walking on slopes or stairs. For guest and property security, we have two security cameras that cover the entry driveway and the area in front and behind the detached garage above the cabin. For your privacy there are no cameras on the property that cover the cabin, lake or parking area near the cabin. The hosts thought of everything from a stocked kitchen, fishing equipment, beach towels, etc. Going above and beyond the hosts had a binder with trails and maps for the Glacier National Park. It was such a treasure to have and use on our daily hikes and planning for exploring this beautiful area. The communication with the hosts was 5 stars. We have traveled the world and stayed in many VRBO's for our stays and this place is the BEST! If you are going to Glacier National Park this is a wonderful home base to the West side of the park. Exactly as pictured in the photos, exceptionally clean, well stocked, and the location allows quick access to the West Glacier entrance. We had planned to eat out but loved the location and covered deck overlooking Spoon Lake so much that we ate every dinner there with our feet up after long days of hiking. The cabin is laid out very well, all systems are up-to-date, well marked and very easy to use. Information provided by the host was clear, accurate, timely, complete and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again and will be recommending this outstanding property and host to our friends and family for their trips to Glacier NP. Outstanding in every respect. ##### Scott K. We stayed for five days while exploring Glacier and it was so nice to come home to the quiet setting, beautiful lake and porch, and lovely, comfortable home. The kids especially enjoyed fishing from the dock and taking the rowboat out on the lake. The house is also conveniently close to Glacier National Park, making it easy to get to the park's entrance. We’ve stayed at a lot of VRBO properties and this was one of the best. The cabin is in a perfect location. A short drive to Glacier NP and nearby towns for shopping and restaurants. You really get the isolated cabin experience without being too far from the main road to Glacier and Columbia Falls.The cabin itself was fantastic. Everything is high quality and laid out very comfortably for our group of five. It was extremely clean and well appointed. We used the outside grill a few times and even that was extremely clean and well maintained.Views from the cabin and access to the lake was wonderful. Our days were spent at Glacier but we spent every evening fishing off the dock and using the paddleboat. It was difficult to do everything we wanted to do at Glacier and the area in just a week and hope to make a return trip soon. I wouldn’t look to stay at any other properties when we’re able to get back. ##### Jeff I. Lake view with nature at one’s fingertips. Easy access to towns and Glacier National Park. Early morning and evenings spent on the porch and overlooking Spoon Lake were incredibly peaceful! We enjoyed the sounds of nature, especially birdsong, including the call of the loon. Amazing native trees and flowers surround the cabin. We found the beds, linen and furniture to be very comfortable. And the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. Our host was very responsive and helpful. From the cabin, it is only a short drive (about 15 minutes) to the entrance of Glacier National Park. Exceptionally well stocked and the views couldn’t get any better. There was an issue prior to our trip with the dryer and the host communicated throughout and had a neighbor handle all of the logistics with the new appliance delivery.
