### Private Mountain Cabin! King Beds 8 Acres Game Room Pet Friendly

This fully updated, fully furnished, quiet log home is located in the Black Forest in Colorado Springs and just a couple of miles from great hiking and biking at the Pinery and Section 16 Trail. It sits back on the lot to insure privacy and a quiet stay. The property is surrounded by fences, a well lit sidewalk, and motion sensors, which allow for a secure, safe stay. We do allow pets (with pre-approval). Enjoy gorgeous Pikes Peak views from the comfort of your front porch.  
  
This one of a kind log home is your next home away from home. Best described as "cozy and cute", we invite you enjoy all that Colorado has to offer with our gorgeous sunrises and even more breath taking sunsets behind Pikes Peak- all available to enjoy from your front or back porch or even from the primary bedroom bed! Wake up hearing the birds in this quiet home situated on the back of an 8-acre lot. This home is neighbors to our guest cottage, also on the property (inquire to book both for larger parties!) Walking into the home you will immediately notice the authentic log home structure with exposed posts and beams. This home was built in the 70's but has been newly renovated to accommodate all of you and your families needs. The living room is flanked by large windows facing Pikes Peak. Walk directly into the dining room where you will be greeted by a charming wood burning stove and large sliding glass doors to let nature in. The kitchen overlooks the dining room with a large peninsula. There is a big window over the sink to watch the herd of deer grazing every evening while you do dishes. The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances and is stocked with everything you need, including spices, to create a family meal. There is a half bath on the main level as well. There is also a 65" tv in the living room equipped with the most current streaming services. Head upstairs where you will find a game room- there is a fooseball ball table and a table that has games for the family. Off the game room is the bunk room with a full over full bunk and a twin trundle. This bedroom is connected to the primary bedroom via the jack and jill bathroom. It also has a second entrance through the game room. The primary bedroom is luxurious in that it has its own balcony to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. It has a 65" tv complete with streaming services, breathtaking views of Pikes Peak (enjoy them from the comfort of your own bed!), a leather chair and ottoman, and a leather large bean bag that converts into a queen sleeper for the kiddos. Head to the basement where you will find a second living room to relax and hang out, a full size washer and dryer, a bathroom with shower/ tub, and three bedrooms. One bedroom has a king size bed and tv with streaming services, the other two have queen size beds. This is a unique and beautiful home that will make you feel like you are in Colorado.  
  
Both the Pellet Stove and Fire Stove aren't available for use. The Vents/Chimneys are blocked Off and Not for use nor are they listed as an amenities.

The cabin is very dated. The stove needs to be replaced it’s unsafe (has a short on the left burner) turns on when no one is around.The beck furniture is torn, the grill is unusable, the downstairs couch smells like cat urine, you have provide your own eating utensils.The positive side:The property manager is great getting back with you. The check-in and checkout process is very easy. The view of Pikes Peak is beautiful, with deer and other wildlife on the property.

#### Beautiful Disaster

The house and location is great. However, even though the listing and rules contract say only dogs they have cats that have been there. Cats that weren’t neutered and sprayed and peed every where in the basement. I contracted the owner and was told “it’s pet friendly “ I own personally three cats and having urine everywhere is not acceptable pet owner behavior. We were stuck as we had no money so we kept windows open and simmered cinnamon and vanilla constantly. I did have friends leave due to allergic reactions. So even though it says only dogs it’s not true. Be prepared for living in cat urine. But hey if you can’t smell it’s pretty!

The road was very hard to see. The upstairs was horribly hot and the bottom floor was cold. We called to have the thermostat adjusted but were told it could not be changed. It was freezing outside but the only relief from the heat was to open a window. There is a broken drawer in the kitchen. Wires were exposed on the stove for heating (that you are not allowed to use). The towels are poor quality. There were no kitchen towels or hot pads. The beds were comfortable and the house had plenty of room. A huge deposit was required! I did get it back, but 2 months of credit card debt added to the cost of the house. I would recommend dropping this property from your listing.

Very nice cabin! Amazing view of pikes peak from the front porch. Fenced in area for our dogs to play and more than enough room to spread out. Large updated kitchen and not 1 not 2 but 3 decks to take in the views! We will definitely be back!

The property was difficult to find as the address is not clearly marked by a road sign. It is about 30-35 mins from USAFA. The home is rustic and older but met our needs. The beds were hard and not super comfortable in some of the rooms.

Definitely recommend this home if you’re looking for a haunted, exhilarating experience. Google Black Forrest and you’ll find an article about the home next door that is one of the most haunted homes in Colorado.. The moment we stepped into the home I got a disconcerting feeling.
