This spacious retreat is a peaceful getaway while only 5 min from downtown Woodland Park. Downstairs: As you walk in the two story retreat you will see a downstairs level with a separate private entrance that offers a game room with foosball table, laundry, bathroom and bedroom. Main Level Living Room: As you go up to the main level you will be welcomed by the amazing mountain and lake views right from the living room that leads to a beautiful deck where you can take in the fresh mountain air. Kitchen: Enjoy the luxurious upgraded kitchen with all new appliances. Right off the kitchen you can access the back patio with firepit. Master Bedroom: Wake up to beautiful sunrises. The owner, Amanda, was responsive and helpful whenever asked, and the trout fishing was actually really good as well! The driveway is steep, so if you’re coming in the winter, be sure to have a 4WD They did a great job of trying to keep the driveway cleared off, but it is still slick. It was also within walking distance of Charis Bible College where we were attending a conference. We took a back road and were able to cut across onto the Charis property. About a ten minute walk. The check-in and check-out processes were simple. The house was in a wonderful location for accessing hiking and trout fishing in the area. We visited Eleven Mile Canyon, the Dream Stream, Mueller State Park, Red Rock State Park, Manitou Lake, and The Craggs and other local trails. My husband also enjoyed fishing in the neighborhood lake a few times too (be sure to buy a Colorado license if you do this). Heading into Manitou Springs for an evening out was just a 30 minute drive. The kitchen and outdoor electric grill were good for cooking dinners in (just be sure to bring all ingredients with you). Also note that there is only a Keurig - we brought our own coffee pot as single k-cups aren’t our thing. Overall a good stay at a great location. ##### C L.
