Forget about the chain restaurants, you’ll be captivated by the local cuisine and artisanship of the Rockies. Come home after a day of hiking, shopping, or scenic driving through the mountains just 2 minutes off the highway to a relaxing mountainside retreat in this unique 5600 sq ft Colorado custom "Rustic Sheek" home on over 1/2 an acre. It couldn’t be more ideal for large family vacations or reunions/gatherings of friends. The expansive living room boasts soaring windows & wall-to-wall mountain views. Sleeping Accommodations: The main level bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed and an adjacent 3/4 bath. Up the floating stairs, the owner’s oasis includes a king size bed, a daybed and a glorious two person shower & soaking tub. There are 2 more bathrooms upstairs, one with a shower and one with a shower/tub. One other bedroom boasts a kids dream sleeping area - adults mind your head- but climb up a ladder up to a bridge crossing to a loft with a full size bedroom outfitted with a queen size bed. Below you will find an extra long full size bed. Also upstairs is another bedroom with a twin boat bed and pull out trundle. The 5th room has 2 more roomy full-size extra long adjustable beds where you can take in the beautiful mountain views from most windows, as well as an above the bed skylight: enjoy star gazing as you drift off to sleep! In the downstairs game room, a triple bunk bed is tucked away in the corner for those teens that like to fall asleep watching movies or playing games. Keep heading west up the pass and discover Woodland Park - a charming mountain town, home to the famous Donut Mill, and the site of the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center. It was perfect for our big family of 8 adults and 6 kids! The entire house was so well appointed. The kids loved swimming in the heated pool and hot tub. There were so many unique places to sleep…our grandkids slept in a different spot every night. There is even a secret room that they enjoyed playing in. The owner was a dream! She made sure everything was perfect for our stay! Linne was amazing and so accommodating. Their home is absolutely beautiful! We spent Thanksgiving there. They have a heated pool and hot tub. The location is great and we loved just hanging out at the pool, hiking, Garden of the Gods, etc. There were 16 of us ranging in age from 18 months to 64 years old. The only unusual thing is there are 3 beds up a fairly steep ladder in a loft. We had 2 teenagers and a six year old sleeping there. Lots of games available and a good sized, well stocked kitchen. The house was the complete package for our family of 14 on vacation. Supplies you don’t normally see in a short term rental were in abundance. The best part about this property was honestly the host/property manager, Linne. Linne was so welcoming and spent a long time chatting and speaking with me over the phone to ensure we were ready for our stay. We have stayed as a group in VRBOs across the country for our annual board meeting and this was the best we have had in communication with the property manager. The pool and hot tub were perfect. The secret room was a hit even for adults to sleep in (if they don’t mind the low ceiling). All the beds were very comfortable. Every common space was perfect for everyone to interact with each other. The views from the great room with the windows are stunning. The only thing I would have improved would be an additional door on the play room where there are beds to ensure more privacy, but other than that, everything was seriously perfect and better than expected. I would 100% stay here again. Thank you, Linne, for all that you did for our group! Every surface, bathroom, and bedroom was immaculate - the cleaning was so well done. Thank you! ##### Kjeld N. The house was perfectly stocked with everything we needed, including toys, games, and art supplies for the kids and adults alike. The owners went beyond expectations by setting up a Christmas tree and even allowed our grandchildren the opportunity to set up a Christmas village using their decorations! The house and location are beautiful, and the house could not be more family-friendly. From the pool, to the large selection of toys, the game room, the "secret room", the spaciousness of the house... I can't say enough good about the property. My sister and I wanted to re-create vacations our parents used to take our families on now that our kids have kids. Great spaces for all of us to be together - and apart! The kitchen is incredibly well-stocked. Multiple plates, glasses, appliances, spices etc. including plastic ware for poolside drinking and dining. The view is spectacular! Linne was very responsive when we had any questions. One thing to be aware of: it states that 22 people can stay here, which is probably true. That said, if you're adults/couples be prepared for sharing sleeping spaces. We figured it out, but two couples did share a room. There is a triple bunk bed, but it's in the room with games, a fooseball table and next to the billiards room. Like I said, we figured it out and it was fine but folks should just be aware when booking. We all loved our stay and felt very at home! ##### Stephani t. Our group ranged in age from 75 to 5 and there were games, puzzles,toys,for all. Of course the heated pool and hot tub added to the fun. Home was very clean and the large kitchen was a fun gathering spot come evening as everyone gathered and cooked together. Location made for easy access to many sights. Linne was a dream to work with. We had everything you could need to enjoy cooking inside and outside, pool and hot tub were perfect for all adults and kids. There was plenty of bathroom amenities, pool and room towels were more than adequate. The home is beautifully furnished with plenty of toys and games for children of all ages. We really enjoyed the pool table, outdoor yard games and puzzles. Linne , the owner, was quick to respond to all questions and gave us great suggestions for near by activities and for other needs.
