This is our Colorado Springs Lake House! You are a few minutes walk to the shore edge. You can walk the kids over to the play ground, or take the paddle boards out for a relaxing or invigorating adventure. Downtown is minutes away as well as many attractions that you came to Colorado Springs to visit. This two bedroom, one bath house is the perfect spot to unwind after a day exploring. The propert is very nice and cute. Everything was clean, washer and dryer there, televesions in all the rooms, and the backyard is really nice. Has hot tub, fire pit, grill, and hammock. Beds are comfartable and nice linens. You park on the street for this property and nobody messed with our vehicle.It is very close to Memorial Park. You can walk to it, which is fine during the day. I would not go the park at night, but it is beautiful during the day. The property is a 5 minute drive to downtown, which is great. We really enjoyed going to the restuarants there, shopping, and going to the farmers market.It takes 10 to 15 minutes to get to Old Colarado City or Manitou Springs. It is about 15 to 20 minutes to Garden of the Gods, the Broadmoor region, or the Whispering Caverns.They told us about some weeds before we had arrived. It would have been nice to get this handled before we arrived, but I was thankful they told us. The lawn service was supposed to come, but had to reschedule.The neighborhood needs some improvement, but it looks like this is slowly happening. It looks like an area that is being slowly remodeled and you could see several homes being updated. With that said, I never felt unsafe. The property is a modest, well remodeled home close to downtown. We had 4 adults and it was perfect for us.

Location was great for everything we wanted to do. Hot was not clean to the point we didn’t use it. Shower won’t drain had to fix ourselves. House its self was clean and nice for what we needed.

The house is the cutest little hidden gem. The landscaping is exceptional, loved the backyard as well as the hot tub after a long day of skiing. We went for a quick last minute trip and it didnt disappoint. The host had every thing we needed to cook, have coffee, you name it, nothing was missed! I love a clean and well put together house and our host didn't disappoint. Communication between us was A! Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed 6 days/5 nights at Cheerful Lake House. Positives: The house was clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfy. Beautiful landscaping front and back with a cozy fire pit and relaxing spa. It was quite warm during our stay and the A/C worked great downstairs. We used the portable A/C to cool the upstairs. Easy parking. We felt fairly safe in the neighborhood. We walked to the coffee shop some mornings and did evening laps around the lake. Our days were filled with exploring the sites in CS and enjoying some yummy food spots. Very convenient location to all. Negatives (not many!): The stairs are narrow and a bit steep. Use caution if wearing socks as they are slippery (I bit it going down). Adding an additional handrail at the top of the stairs would be helpful, especially when having to use the bathroom downstairs during the night. Overall a wonderful stay in this tastefully refurbished bungalow!

Clean property with fully stocked kitchen to cook for our college student! Hot tub and fire pit were a great way to relax! Added bonus, we had front row seats for the balloon festival in the morning s as the balloons flew right over the property!

My wife and I stayed for a few days visit in Co. Springs and this house was a perfect spot. It's in a small and quiet neighborhood that was a short drive to all the points of interest we visited. Outside of the house is well maintained, and the backyard is definitely the best part. We loved being able to relax in the hot tub after a day of outdoor activities. Inside of house is very clean and comfortable. Everything is very up-to-date and really made us feel like being at home. The kitchen has all the necessities and then some. Definitely a spot we'll return to on our next visit to town.

Came to town for our daughter’s college graduation and had a wonderful time. The outdoor space is very spacious in front and back. The fire pit is a special bonus that we really enjoyed. The kitchen is well stocked. Would definitely rebook in the future.

This is the cutest little house, great location if you want to walk or run from the front steps. There is a lake path a block away or less. The kitchen is stocked well and you can cook most things without worrying if the spice or the equipment is available. i was in town for a work event and needed to be both downtown and up at the Broadmoor and it was a quick drive to both. I will check availability here the next time I'm in town.

Hosts were communicative. House was clean and had everything we needed. We came during a big snow, and they even had snow removal service for us. Location was solid — close by to downtown by car, but not super walkable overall. That said, it was a great stay and a lovely home!

We could not check in early ( not really a big deal ) we knew we couldn’t get in until 4. We could not get the front door open. It’s jammed up on the frame. We called and messaged the property owner many times about the front door not opening with no response and we waited outside for over a hour with all of our bags and groceries and 3 kids sitting and waiting for them to respond. It started to rain so we packed everything up and put it back in the car and waited for a response with no success. We contacted Vrbo for help and they answered right away and helped as best as they could. If your renting a property and you know your guest check in is 4 pm why aren’t you making sure your guest checkin process is starting off well!! The bathroom door locks but doesn’t close and latch. The back door has issues hard to open and shut. You have lots of door issue that need addressed before renting this property. The ac unit upstairs is not a normal in the window type but sitting on the floor at the foot of the bed runs all the time and you can not hear the tv at night when your trying to relax. The hot tub metal handle is broken and the hot tub cleaner guy came out to clean it while we were using it. This service should not be performed while your renting the property. The hot tub cleaner guy said he has advised the property owner many times the handle was broken and it still has not been repaired. The neighborhood is really sketchy especially at night. Don’t go out at night to walk.
