Our neighborhood is nestled up in the hills with gorgeous views surrounding. A stay in our cozy place will be the perfect space to rest after exploring downtown Manitou, climbing the Manitou Incline, hiking around Garden of the Gods, or walking through Old Colorado City. Pikes Peak is right out front and Red Rock Canyon Open Space has lots of gorgeous trails that are accessible from our neighborhood. We have converted our basement into a beautiful 3 bedroom/1 bath unit including a kitchenette/laundry with a complete remodel for a fresh and comfortable feel. You will have a private entrance through the walkout patio door. We live upstairs with our two girls! We also have an older dog, Chai, and a younger dog, Nala, who loves to meet new people. While our dogs love to get any attention you want to give them, we understand not everyone loves doggie love and are happy to accommodate. While the inside has been extensively updated, the outside is still a work in progress. Please be patient with us as we bring it up to par with the indoor space! Also, we would appreciate any feedback you might have on how we can improve our space! Smoking is absolutely prohibited on our property inside and outside. If you smoke on our property you WILL be asked to leave. If we find evidence that smoking occurred this WILL be noted in your public review and a fine will be charged. The host family was very nice and gave us good suggestions on what to see. Beautiful lot. Nala the dog is an absolute doll!! Wonderful family of 5 that owns it and lives upstairs. The unit is esthetically well done. We had everything we needed. A couple big downsides though. There was very uneven climate control. One floor a/c unit in the livingroom area and fans in bedrooms. The bedrooms were very hot (Aug). I slept on the couch and put every fan we could find in my sons room. Also, I would not recommend this for people who want to rest, it is very noisy, especially early in the morning. I understand it is the owners house, I just think renters should be made aware that it is going to be very noisy and not necessarily "peaceful". ##### Kim M. Listing was accurate, owners were very friendly and helpful, great young family. Location is super convenient to many local attractions and downtown Manitou. We had plenty of room and all the normal amenities and things you would expect, especially in the kitchen/bathroom. Very clean and fresh upon arrival, we had a great time here. 1 Con: The owners live above, there is a lot of noise from upstairs. It's just normal family activity, but be aware some days may be worse than others, however it did not go late and we were able to sleep with no worries. ##### Chris H. The exterior grounds are very much a work in progress, so don't let that throw you when you arrive. The kitchen was excellently organized and easy to use. The bathroom was small, but workable. The unit was very clean. The entrance was in the back, down some steps, and with a mulch path. Luggage is carried, not rolled, to the door. If we are in the area and need lodging, we will definitely stay here again. The host was extremely nice. If you see a dog by the door, don't worry. He is calm, extremely friendly, and will wait for a rub if you choose to give him one. ##### Charles M.
