This gorgeous townhouse is situated in Colonno in the centre of Lake Como, at the start of ‘The Green Way of the Lake’, a walking path that gives travellers the chance to explore the Central Western Shore of the lake, finishing in Griante. The property features a beautifully decorated living space that features a fireplace, a sofa, 2 single chairs, a flat screen TV with International Channels and a large dining table. The living room also benefits from a balcony with views of the lake. The separate kitchen is fitted with a range cooker with gas hob, electric kettle, microwave and a full crockery and dining set, perfect for a self-catering holiday. Sleeping On the ground floor – the hallway leads to a laundry room with a washing machine and a separate W.C. & hand basin. Then there are stairs to the first floor, which is where 3 of the properties\\' 4 bedrooms are located. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are connected and would work as a family suite. Bedroom 1 offers a double bed and bedroom 2 a bunk bed. The suite also has a pop-up baby bed, as and when required (guests would need to bring their own sheets for this). Bedroom 3 is furnished with a double bed. On the same floor is the property\\'s two bathrooms, the first is a complete bathroom suite with a shower unit, WC and basin. The second bathroom has a shower and basin only. On the second floor there is also the 4th bedroom, which has a single bed, and there is the option for an additional single bed to be made up, guests please ensure to let us know that this is required. The third floor of the property is the real jewel in the crown – the private roof terrace with a BBQ, sun loungers and the opportunity to eat outdoors. The property also benefits from being on the lake shore, providing a real feeling of being on the water. There is also an outdoor lounge area, which is in a shaded position, perfect for a break from the midday sun during the summer months. There is a garage and paid public parking spots, and for guests without a car, this property is accessible through the main bus route on the lake, offering services to the North and to Como in the South. We loved the location by the lake and the authentic village of Colonno. Our children spent everyday jumping off the harbour into the lake with the local village children. Colonno is a great location for exploring the lake. The house was very well appointed and comfortable and the roof terrace was stunning. The kitchen had plenty crockery etc. We ate 4 times at the local restaurant which was about a one minute walk and the setting on the balcony there was beautiful. Auch nach Mailand sind wir gefahren (mit Auto nach Como, danach weiter mit Zug). - Wandern kann man in der Gegend auch sehr schön und natürlich Schwimmen/SUP Etwas herausfordernd war: - Die Garage war zu klein für unseren Ford Transit 9-Sitzer. - Überhaupt ist es mit Parken in Colonno ein bisschen schwierig. Es gibt öffentliche Parkplätze ca. einen Kilometer weiter den Berg hinauf. Das Gepäck konnte an der Kirche in der Nähe des Hauses aus- und eingeladen werden. Das wurde aber auch alles gut beschrieben. - Zum Einkaufen musste man weiter weg fahren. Der kleine Dorfladen hatte unseres Urlaubs gerade zu. The kitchen is really small but well equipped. Very calm and genuin village. Relaxing and almost no other tourists. Would have been nice with one or two more restaurants in the village since there is only one wich is not that good. There is a small store were you can buy breakfast and more. For everything else you need to take the bus or have your own transportation and go to for ex Lenno (10 min). Grâce à sa terrasse magnifique, à moitié couverte, avec sa vue à couper le souffle, on a passé beaucoup de temps dehors, malgré un temps qui commençait à sentir l'automne. L'intérieur est aménagé avec beaucoup de goût et sans tape-à-l'oeil, tout en mariant l'ancien au moderne, le traditionnel au design. Pour un mois de septembre, on s'est pas mal baignés dans le lac (presque tous les jours) et on a profité du "Greenway del Lago", un sentier balisé qui, partant de Colonno, longe le bord du lac sur une dizaine de kilomètres en passant par des jardins bucoliques, en offrant une vue époustouflante sur le lac.
