The room was small for 2 people and there was a smell at the room constantly. Other than that, best location, very nice good stuff, good breakfast.

Great Hotel with an excellent location. Just beside the Cathedral and train station, with lots of restaurants and bars at walking distance. It’s located in a plaza with lots of restaurants and businesses.

Our stay at this location was wonderful. Beautiful, clean facilities. Comfortable rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Conveniently and centrally located to shopping, sights and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location!!! Close to everything. So clean, the check in was done in less than 2 minutes. Nice rooms, very comfortable and modern. Great customer service; always willing to help. I will stay here again and I’ll recommend it to my friends. :) Gisel Cooper

This hotel was perfect and so close to many of colognes top destinations and the train. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again!

This was an excellent spot for my 30hr stay in Cologne. Right on the corner of Alter Markt and very close to Heumarkt not to mention the 5-7min walk to Koln Dom and the central train station. I was traveling alone and felt to be a very safe location, as well. The hotel was very clean and very comfortable and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I didn’t even know I had Expedia VIP access here until I was informed of this upon check-in. The perks that came with that were very nice, as well.

Super clean and nice room, glad I didn't have to even go outside to eat dinner, as there are 3 very nice restaurants near the hotel lobby. Loved how convenient it was to get to my flight in the morning, about a 4 minute walk from the lobby. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want a very convenient location to the airport.

We will be back!!! Room was large, views were beautiful, staff were lovely. It is an absolutely perfect location for Christmas markets during the holidays. Get the breakfast. It was delicious!! Tons of restaurants right there. Overall, this was an excellent experience for us!

Best Hotel for Cologne's Christmas Markets!
CityClass Hotel Alter Markt was the best hotel for Cologne's Christmas Markets for us! It was easy to go from the airport to the train station, and then the hotel was within walking distance of the train station. The staff welcomed us warmly and Daniel was especially helpful with the questions I had about finding certain shops and visiting the Christmas market, especially since I don't speak German. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and quiet with a view of the Cologne Cathedral. I had the European breakfast on the morning we left and it was delicious with many wonderful choices. The amazing thing was we walked out the hotel door and there we were at the Heinzel (gnomes/house elves) Christmas market. I ate most of my meals while exploring the markets. A week after visiting friends in other parts of Germany, our flight was canceled from Cologne to Munich due to snow at the Munich airport, Daniel let us leave our luggage for the day at the hotel while we explored our last evening in Cologne. He and our stay at the CityClass Hotel Alter Markt gave us a memorable feeling and we would definitely stay there again!

Excellent location
This hotel had an excellent location for gift shops, eateries, the main train station, and the Christmas Markets. We loved our stay. Bed was a bit stiff and could use a pad but otherwise, we were comfortable. Very clean room and no odors.

The staff were, polite, friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in making our stay pleasant. The facilities were comfortable and clean and just what was needed after walking through the christmas markets. The food was of a good standard and variety. I would certainty recommend this hotel. Modern hotel, in Altstadt
Modern hotel close to the Dom and right next to the Alte Market Weinachtsmarkt. Very friendly staff, one of three related hotels in the area. The room was well appointed with a mini-fridge and safe. Big selection at breakfast in the hotel restaurant with more friendly and accommodating staff. Great area for food, etc, short walk to Hbf and Dom. Had a great four day visit, definitely will come back.

Nice hotel, great location
We had a really nice stay at the hotel. It’s in a fantastic location for seeing everything in Cologne. The service was good and breakfast was fine. We were in a comfort room, which was ok - but a bit too hot. It also would’ve benefited from Tea/Coffee making facilities, which should really be standard in all rooms for a hotel of this standard. Overall though, we had a good time.

If travelling to the Christmas markets this hotel is the perfect spot situated at the entrance of the best Christmas market in cologne and 5 minutes from the cathedral market 8 minutes from train station and the land train stops right outside the door fabulous

Overall this hotel is good. Amenities are simple. Cost of breakfast for 15€ was not worth it - we had to pay for our own beverages (weird), the area is good and near tourist attractions and main train station.

This is my favorite property to stay at in Cologne. The staff is very welcoming, and made check-in, check-out, and special requests all easy. They had excellent recommendations for the area. The hotel is near the Dom and a 5 minute walk to the Cologne Hbf train station. It is also near the Rhine, and a great (though tourist-focused) shopping area.

It is very close to the terminal train. You don’t need transportation. The buffet breakfast was good. Clean, nice and the staff speak Spanish
