Well worth the extra money for a comfortable stay! The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Having the living area with small kitchen was an excellent bonus. Quiet, clean, convenient and comfortable.

I booked this hotel based on the reviews in Expedia and the relatively low price. The moment I arrived to the hotel and saw that it is located behind a car parts store it started to feel wrong. I entered the hotel and I must say that for this level of hotel the lobby is very nice. I also must say that the reception lady was very nice. At first look it feels like the hotel was either built lately or renovated but this is where the good stuff ends. Here is what’s wrong with this hotel: 1. Stained mattresses. 2. Squeaking floors, 3. Mold all around the shower (we couldn’t shower as it was disgusting to step inside the tub) 4. Cold and tasteless food for breakfast 5. Noisy air conditioner 6. Peeling wall paper in the lobby 7. Slanted floor in the room - drawers are sliding independently

It was an excellent stay. The lady said it was built in 2020 & opened in 2022 so that is one reason it was so nice. You can tell it was designed for energy efficiency. You have to keep a card in a slot to keep the electricity on. A couple other energy savers weren't so great..The water pressure in the bathroom sink was barely a trickle. Not enough to wash of a tooth brush.. The shower had no temperature control, just on and off..They set the temperature which was adequate. We came to Waco for the eclipse. All the $150-$175 had jacked up their prices to $499. Some were $799! Should be illegal. So the 94 mile drive from College Station was worth it. We rarely and need a hotel.

Stayed in a 2 queen room. Room was big, nicely decorated, clean, bed and pillows were good. The bathroom was big, looked new, very nice. One of the doors was a sliding door that left a 2 inch space that wasn't closed. It was just not built correctly. Shims on both sides. So, no privacy. The main thing that made this a bad stay ... Very thin walls/ceiling. We heard everyone in the hallway as if they were in our room. Every step the people above us took, was very loud. We got no sleep. A lot of good things about this hotel, the one bad, outweighed all the good as the main point was being able to sleep. Unfortunately, we won't stay there again.

Room was large and comfortable. The facility was very clean. Receptionist was friendly and worked quickly. There was a large bus load of people checking in when we arrived. She worked quickly and patiently to check them in while simultaneously checking me in as well.

I requested a room with a king bed and the room was very accommodating and spacious! All this for the price a room with 2 queen beds! I was pleasantly surprised! This was my second time staying at Wyndham Garden. I will definitely stay here again!

A/C thermastat nightmare
I changed rooms 4 x's. The first room's air condition would not cool the room within a 3 hour window. The second room's air conditioning would not turn off the A/C. Thermastat read 73 but room felt like 65-68. The third room's bathroom floor had big sinkholes in the floor in front of the vanity and the shower. The forth room's A/C unit also did not have a precise thermostat. The unit would not turn off A/C. Staff gave blankets and I ended up turning off unit. Then had to wake up in 3 hrs to turn back on. The bartender didn't show on a Sunday. Breakfast only served a buffet of pork meat. I was expecting waffles but none. Felt like a Super 8 setting for breakfast.

Hotel is a complete joke. Was denied the stay because we were local. Stated no local stay policy but that policy was nowhere to be found.
