The house is spacious and cozy, it has plenty of room for spending time together as a family. The large kitchen with dining table invites people to cook and eat together. There is plenty of room in the kitchen to store your own food stuffs and the fridge is sizeable enough to store fresh foods. There is enough crockery to make sure the table is set well and the kitchen is well equipped otherwise as well.
The living room would be a bit croweded with 8 people in it but for us, a family of 5 it was just perfect. We didnt light the fire... as it wasnt that cold but it looked so very inviting and we can imagine in the colder season this would be a wonderful addition to make the house cozy and warm.
Bed Linen and towels are provided, the rooms were all made up and inviting...
We loved that there is a little shop just under 10 mins walk away that has everything one needs when something has run out and you just can't be bothered to drive to the next bigger shops. Apart from that Castlerock is very quiet and much is closed during out of season times... which didnt bother us but should be noted if you travelling outside of the summer season. However, busier Coleraine and Portstewart are not too far away (ca. 15 min drive) and Caffees, Shops, Pubs, Bakeries etc can all be found there.
In the house there was plenty of travel and tourist information provided to help with figuring out what to do and where to go. We recommend the train ride to Derry/Londonderry... it was a very enjoyable journey and visit!
All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to coming back another time...hopefully.
