For cycling enthusiasts the cycle trail is just 5 minutes from Forest Walk. There are an array of activities and days out to be had, such as Symonds Yat rock, Puzzlewood, Clearwell Caves, and Coleford has its own Great Western Railway Museum. The cottage provides the perfect location for visitors with pets. The River Severn, 4 miles, Dean Heritage Centre, Dean Forest Railway and Tintern Abbey are all nearby. There is good fishing, RSPB reserves, riding, golf, tennis and excellent walking and cycling opportunities locally. Ross-on-Wye, Chepstow, Monmouth and the cathedral cities of Gloucester and Hereford are within easy driving distance.
