We rented from the prior owner who resided on the property but sold the units before our arrival. The new owners are not on the Island and hired a Property Manager. The PM was only on the property a few times; she seemed highly annoyed to have to speak with us. Honestly, she is the only rude person we meet on the entire trip.
1. Location - it is almost perfect. You lose part of the beach in the morning to tides and shade but it is beautiful in the evenings.
2. Parking was ample. It is not their property and is shared with construction shipping containers - we were careful to not block the units.
3. Thank you for the bottle of wine for our honeymoon.
The surrounding rentals do this: Pick up from the airport, take you to a lunch or breakfast, give an initial island tour for groceries, eating out, fish market, etc.; stop by to drop fresh towels; take you back to the airport and assist with any travel delays. THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU GET HERE.
Do not attempt to check in until 4 pm. The door codes will not work. We arrived early, and it was fortunate we rented a car (A MUST!). Our bags could be dropped off but even though there was not another guest in the apt - NO ACCESS. Don't fly in too early. We explored the island until 4 pm.
Get a taxi from the airport or rent a car; no will pick you up, give you a tour or decent driving directions. The prior owners were scheduled to pick us up - the new owner suggested I get a taxi.
Golf carts - there are 2 on property. It was confusing because they were not offered for use to us but the tenant upstairs was allowed to do so. However, neither one worked.
The deck - 2 of the 4 loungers are broke, none of the umbrellas are 100% functional, everything smells musty and constantly damp. Everything in the beach toy box smells moldy. The cushions are torn and very flat - we sat on them once.
The Property Manager: She was not "a gem" to us or to the couple checking in the night before we left. They knocked on our door for help after she left. We took them on a tour and to get groceries. One day before leaving, she was there to change a battery. She heard us on the phone having issues with our Island flight. No advice - just "Travel Safe".
This place is not stocked with any basic food supplies other than leftover spices from prior guests. Oh - bring a coffee mug. They have 5 but it's 4 espresso cups and one mug.
There are much better places with better management.
