Walk to town The south unit, unit 1 at Crabtree Apartments is a quaint 2 bedroom, 1 bath, beachfront apartment unit, in a single story building (consisting of only 3 units) nestled on a sandy beach overlooking the turquoise Caribbean Sea. This unit has gorgeous views from almost every room and a wonderful covered beach side veranda where you can listen to the gentle lapping of the sea and view the beautiful sunsets. Come enjoy our wonderful swimming and snorkeling beach, we have the best of both worlds and we are walking distance to town and restaurants. Your private veranda is sure to be your favorite spot to relax. You will enjoy seeing the sea change from royal blue to turquoise as the sun rises higher in the sky, watching the sunsets over the horizon and gazing at the dazzling star splashed sky of the evening, all from your own comfortable sitting area on the veranda. Grand Turk is a charming \`Old World\` Caribbean island with quaint colonial buildings lining the narrow walled streets. The local people are very friendly on this laid-back Caribbean island. This is a British governed island, the currency is the US dollar. Introduction: What do we offer or how do we differ from the other rentals on Grand Turk? We were the first vacation rental to begin renting on Grand Turk 11 years ago. We have along record with hundreds of satisfied guests. We also know that our guest feel comfortable in a homey space that is clean and relaxing. Our maid \`Irsa\` takes great pride in have the unit spic and span, clean and ready. We also know that our guests often travel a long way to get to Grand Turk, often arriving too late to grocery shop. We supply a few groceries in the unit ( like; water, milk, bread, butter, eggs, orange juice, coffee tea, sugar, salt and pepper) to start our guests off. This way our guests can begin relaxing right away, go for a dip in the gorgeous sea, enjoy a dinner out and have breakfast in the AM on the veranda. Being fresh the next morning to start exploring the island and to find the grocery. Many of our happy guests are Crabtree \`fans\` that return again and again. We are located in one of the best and most desirable neighborhoods on Grand Turk. Some of our guests have said we have one of the best beaches for swimming and snorkeling. Apartment Description: The south unit has a fully equipped kitchen (even a few spices if you plan on cooking), 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, 1 bath with a large tile shower, dining/living room with wonderful views and opens to a large, private veranda. There are wonderful views from nearly every room in the unit and a gentle tropical breeze that constantly cools the apartment. Both the living room and one of the bedrooms open onto a large private beach front veranda where you can relax to the sound of the gently lapping waves. The second bedroom offers views of the Salina where you can watch the herons, plovers, pipers and other birds feeding. The veranda is sure to be your favorite place to relax, watch the boats go by and the osprey sail above the water. You might spy a humpback whale or catch a glimpse of the infamous \`Green Flash\`. Come and visit us here in our little piece of paradise. We literally are on the edge of the beach with all the amenities of your own apartment right at your fingertips. We know you will love it and look forward to seeing you. About our location: Crabtree Apartments are located on a lovely sandy beach with town and restaurants a pleasant 10 minute stroll. We have what most other apartment rentals and house rentals on Grand Turk don\`t have - is the beach literally right outside your door and to be within walking distance to town and restaurants. (Not across the street or on the other side of the island.) Washer/dryer 2 bicycles per unit We have a manager on Grand Turk who can assist you should you need anything. I do not live there, but I am available by phone or email. Jessalyn Zaykoski About Grand Turk: Grand Turk is a small “Old World” Caribbean island. The island has maintained the charm of the colonial days due to the many antique colonial Bermudian buildings that line the walled streets. You’ll feel as though you stepped back in time as you venture out for an evening stroll. There are beautiful views from nearly every place you visit on the island. Many of the restaurants are seated on the edge of the beach, a romantic setting for a leisurely meal. The local people are friendly and welcoming. The Turks and Caicos are considered some of the safest in the Caribbean, they are British governed islands but the currency is the U.S. Dollar. You can walk or bike to most places on the island. We enjoyed this lovely apartment with our very own “upper beach” in the shade and our “ lower beach” in the sun and surf. The owner provided bikes, and we explored much of the island- even made the trip to the lighthouse. We enjoyed watching the sun rise and cross over to illuminate the beautiful turquoise waters, and then enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets every afternoon. The condo is adorable and very comfortable. The beach and ocean are AMAZING. So private and so peaceful. We sat on the veranda every morning and every evening just looking out at the ocean. The Crabtree is a slice of paradise!! You truly can’t get closer to the ocean without actually being in it. The communications with the owners was awesome, check-in very simple. We used the bicycles that are provided for each unit to explore the island. The location is within walking distance to some great restaurants. Absolutely loved the pot cakes (dogs) that find their ‘home’ at the Crabtree. The wild donkeys made several appearances :) Grand Turk itself is totally amazing!! Can’t say enough about this place - just loved everything about it! Really look forward to booking this place again!! This place is absolutely beautiful. The beach is everything you see on a postcard from the Caribbean. The house was clean and had everything you would need. There was half of dozen eggs, OJ, butter, bread, coffee and cream waiting for us (which is thoughtful when you've traveled from far to get here!) We snorkeled everyday right outside our house! The people and culture of Grand Turk are welcoming and make you feel safe and comfortable. There's not much glamour or fanciness to the island. The majority of restaurants are little places owned and operated by Islanders.The local people don't own much, but they are always smiling. If you want a vacation with the best beaches in the world and a beautiful, local culture this is the place for you! We will definitely be back! A few things to bring: Brita water pitcher (you can drink the water, but it doesn't taste good) Small, collapsible cooler Definitely bring your own liquor-it's really expensive on the island Snacks, candy, any food you can bring-this is really expensive on the island, too Lots of 50spf sunscreen Snorkel gear Underwater camera This will be the best vacation you've ever taken! ##### Karen P. Oct 15, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### It was paradise In general going to Grand Turk we knew it was going to be a low key stay and our plan was to spend a lot of time at the condo and on the beach. Well the view and accessibility did not disappoint. We were the only ones on the beach for days! It was amazing. We spent a lot of time on the back deck as well. The condo was clean and well stocked. We overlooked in the ad there was only air conditioning in the bedrooms so that was a warm surprise! Overall we were very happy and pleased. A couple of suggestions maybe a new shower head, a overhead fan on the deck and maybe if you could incorporate a hammock somehow! None are deal breaks but just a wish list! Lol. We rented a golf cart which I feel like is a must. We did lots of cruising around. We went during down time and restaurants were a challenge at times but we were able to cook at the condo too. Overall we got some great R&R. Honestly this condo is what made us decide to pass up Provo hustle and bustle and head to the beach front paradise. ##### Stephanie F. Jun 25, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### A peaceful slice of heaven We really enjoyed our stay at Crabtree Apts, staying in unit 1\. Having a beach out the back door is amazing. The sand is soft and plenty of places to swim and snorkel or just relax. There are air conditioners in the bedrooms for comfortable sleeping and plenty of breeze to make the main area ok even in the heat of the day. The cottage has all the things you would want on a beach vacay, chairs, towels, and even some beach toys. The kitchen is well appointed and our host left us some eggs, bread and coffee to make sure we were prepared for the next morning. The beach and snorkeling is right out the back door and it is just heaven. We spent most of our stay just hanging out in this slice of heaven. We saw very few people during our stay on the beach. (June 24) There is a grocery store not too far away, and everything on Grand Turk is expensive as you would expect. Bring those little items that you’d like to eat and that travel well like protein bars, peanut butter etc. Grocery store had all the essentials. There are multiple restaurants within a 10 or 15 min walk. We rented a golf cart for one day during our visit from Paradise Carts through Viator. Our cottage was clean, comfortable and quiet. This is an amazing place for a laid back vacation where you really want to unwinds. We went down to the cruise terminal once to check it out and couldn’t wait to get back to our peaceful beach. Dec 2, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Paradise We didn’t want to leave!! It’s so beautiful and the sunrises and sunsets are just amazing. The apartment is very clean and stocked with basic appliances and dinner wear. They even stocked enough for you to make a breakfast until you got groceries. Both bedrooms have AC units and every room has a ceiling fan or multiple ceiling fans. Pillows weren’t the most comfortable, but we made due. Highly recommend renting a golf cart during your stay to get around town and you can explore the island as well. The outside patio is wonderful and very comfortable and inviting. The local Pot Cake dogs are so sweet and friendly and they become your little guard dogs if you go on beach walks (if they’re around) and they are right there to greet you in the mornings and will sit with you on the beach. They usually sleep outside the apartments. Even the donkeys come around and they will let you pet them. We discovered a couple of good little places to eat out at and on the days the ships come in (they are a Carnival Cruise line port) we went into the cruise center and had lunch at Margaritaville and did a little shopping. Their online manager is on it whenever you need something and I think the on-site manager would come around very early in the mornings and clean up in front of the property and sweep the pathways and rake the sand a little. We could have stayed there for longer than a week. So relaxing to walk right on to the beach and straight into the warm turquoise waters. Truly is paradise. ##### Sabrina Z. It was very hot, but the A/C in the bedroom allowed us to cool off when we needed to. The beach was quiet and gorgeous, and we loved meeting the locals during the evenings.
