My friends and I came here for a getaway and were pleasantly surprised by the starview lodge. They're honest and right that it's not a lodge, but it is incredibly comfortable and reasonably well appointed. We had a great stay. Some things of note that may be helpful to future guests: The hosts do not provide any body soap or shampoo/conditioner. There is a lovely and well-appointed grocery about 5 minutes away - everything else is 25 minutes up or down windy roads. The driveway is steep, and if your car has low clearance you will certainly drag. The stairs to the lower level are a small, spiral staircase that can feel anxiety-provoking but is very steady. Saw some deer & wild turkeys roaming around. Super-quiet too. Did some grilling-but had to change out propane tanks couple of times, as they were low & had a time using the starter button. We were visiting to attend a friends gathering at a house close by. We did have some issues with the house, but the owner was very responsive and understanding. The house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood on Cobb Mt. The kitchen definitely needs some upgrading, but the living area was comfortable. We spent a fair amount of time on the outdoor deck. ##### Laurie K. Could use some modernization, especially in the kitchen. The house conveniently sits on a quiet street, just a few minutes from grocery store, restaurants. You can reach the hiking trails from the back yard, very nice. The place is very clean, owner was very responsive, always available when needed. The beds were very comfortable, the deck was large and had a great view and the tasteful living room was ample to sit around and visit. We enjoyed the peaceful location and views of the night sky. One individual in our group had to work one day of the vacation and had no connectivity issues.
