Cargo Cove – Cozy, Modern Retreat Near the Beach  
  
Just a block from the sand in peaceful Tierra Del Mar, Cargo Cove is a stylish, pet-friendly getaway crafted from a repurposed shipping container. Surrounded by forest land and local wildlife—think bunnies, deer, and birds—this private retreat blends modern design with rustic charm.  
  
The one-bedroom, one-bath layout is perfect for couples or solo travelers. Inside, you’ll find a cozy queen bed, a sleek full bathroom with a shower, a wood-burning fireplace, and thoughtful, eco-conscious design throughout. Outside, relax with a BBQ or explore the quiet neighborhood with your pup by your side. Wood is not provided.  
  
Enjoy beach days, forest views, and Oregon Coast tranquility—Cargo Cove is your perfect low-key escape.  
  
One dog allowed. Pet fee required. Pets cannot be left unattended unless crated and must be picked up after.  
  
House has a loft but it is not approved for guest use so it's off limits.  
  
Neighborhood:  
The village of Tierra Del Mar is a small community of traditional beach homes 3 miles north of Pacific City along the Three Capes Scenic Route. There are several quiet lanes lined with both historic cabins and larger beach homes that all lead to direct beach access. All homes in Tierra Del Mar are a quick, easy walk to the beach. The beach here is quiet and long—beachcombers can walk for hours down this lengthy stretch that is relatively undiscovered. It is a good spot for beachcombers who often find agates and Japanese glass floats. Sandlake Dunes recreation area is 4 miles to the north.  
  
Kiwanda Coastal Properties is a local, professional Oregon Coast vacation rental management company that offers over 50 homes in the Pacific City area. We have been offering beach rental homes for more than 30 years. Reliable management means responsive service, insider guides to the area and a better vacation experience. This home is pet friendly for one dog. Please let us know if you will be bringing a pet so that we can add the non-refundable pet fee of $10/night . Only well-behaved dogs are allowed. Pets are not allowed on the furniture, or left in the house unattended.  
  
Occupancy rules are strictly enforced and apply to the entire property during the stay. Additional day-use guests may be allowed with management pre-approval. After your booking is confirmed, you will be sent the full rental contract and terms.

The safety of our staff, guests and local community is our top priority. This home is professionally managed and cleaned to strict standards in line with CDC guidelines, including supervised housekeeping and post-clean sanitation.  
  
Cancellation policy: 1/2 the total cost of the booking is subject to forfeiture if reservation is canceled or changed within 30 days of arrival. 100% of rental rate is charged if cancelled (or no-show) within 7 days of arrival. If the house is fully rebooked by another renter, cancellation charges (less $35) will be refunded. Reservation cancellation fee is $35\. (If you book with a 3rd party, different charges may apply).

The Cargo Cove was one of the coolest stays! Beautiful interior and one of a kind exterior. Within walking distance to the beach (have to cross the main road then walk to the end of the neighborhood). From there you have access to a non-busy beach spot. Will be talking about this spot for the next couple months. Only thing I would aware other renters at this time is there is a bush/tree that obstructs your view when you’re exiting the property on the left. I believe this could easily be trimmed back to gain more visibility. Overall, wonderful stay and would love to return when time allows!

We had a wonderful stay in this cute, cozy cabin—it was the perfect size for the two of us. Conveniently located near the beach and Pacific City, two of our favorite spots on the Oregon coast. The fireplace was a great feature, though it took a little effort to get the fire going; smaller wood works best. There’s no cell service at the house, but the Wi-Fi worked perfectly for calls. Overall, it was a very comfortable place, and we’d happily stay again!

If you're looking for a cozy, modern, clean spot at Tierra Del Mar, quite near the beach, you'll find it here at Cargo Cove! You'll find very few, if any, delays crossing the street safely and easily, and a short walk down the road, you're at the beach! We look forward to our next 'container' home stay.
