"Asked for adjoining rooms upon check in and wound up being one room apart. While checking into rooms, the room in between was being vacated. The occupant was clearing out the room and yelling at staff across the parking lot. Had I not been with a man, I would have been nervous. The police were called. The occupant was gone within a half an hour. Staff entered and cleaned the room. It was a convenient location for our overnight stay."

"I picked this place cause I saw the pic online I figured for one night it’s okay and close to stadium, but not at all for me , I changed my room two times first room sheets holes in it second room toilet don’t flush ceiling in bathroom leaking, Never ever again this is a terrible place to stay and the pictures of room are false advertisement Expedia should take this off of site, only good thing was the area."

"This hotels delivers consistently good value. Beds are comfortable (not soft), bathrooms are clean and water is hot, and coffee maker in room is great, plus lounge on 2nd floor. Good location also. Suggest requesting a higher floor as neighborhood can get noisy."

"This was a great, reasonably priced hotel with underground parking for our DC visit. The staff was friendly, especially in the dining room. We stopped for a drink most evenings and enjoyed the bar and waitstaff's camaraderie; they remembered us, the couple on a last-minute vacation, even though a corporate event took over the place for a few days. We ate dinner there a few times and found the traditional pub-food menu perfect after a long day of nonstop walking and my unwillingness to take another step (20,000+ steps each day). Breakfast offerings were good, though they poured only half a cup of coffee, which didn't satisfy the first cup of the day. We didn't use the pool area, as the weather was cool and rainy, though it looked like a nice place to relax if the weather had been nice. It was an easy walk down 14th Street to the McPherson Metro station, which we used to get around the city every day. (Stop at the Brown Bag for breakfast and coffee). And local restaurants were easy to access, with a few only 5 minutes down the street. There was much to enjoy in DC, and our home base at the Washington Plaza Hotel was a great location and a pleasant experience."

"Picked this because reviews said it's a great stay for solo traveler. Was on business there for the next day Monday, already on Sunday. It's in the middle of town, by a church. It's nice to just walk around and I got some food which I took to my hotel room to eat while watching tv. They have a huge amount of channels. Location is walkable from metros and bus stops. I definitely will stay there again if on business for downtown DC. Staff I met (reception and cleaning lady) was very friendly. Makes you feel at home."

"The front desk staff has an incredible gift for hospitality. Sabrina was so warm and welcoming to me and every guest. The location is good, the room and bathroom were a little tired - the owners could invest some money on the asset and take care of that front desk staff! They are what make the hotel great."
