Sweet Retreat Cabin- Perfectly Named! Sweet Retreat is perfect if you are looking for a quiet and private get-a-way. The kitchen is fully stocked for everything you may need to cook with. The living room has a cute love seat (with 2 recliners built in) and oversized log chair that sits right in front of the gas fireplace for you to enjoy in the cooler months. The 42" flat screen is above the fireplace and perfectly located so you can enjoy throughout all of first floor, by lying in the comfortable pillow top queen size log bed you can enjoy a movie or just watch some TV. Upstairs you have a full size private bath. You will be streaming HULU & Netflix. Other apps available on the smart tv if you would like to bring your login to use them. The kitchen area has a table and chairs. Right off the living room you can go outside onto the upper deck and enjoy the view of Mt. Yonah. Grill out on the gas grill. Patio seating for 4 is provided on the upper deck, plus rockers. Sweet Retreat is a heavily wooded lot with plenty of privacy. Once you go downstairs you will see an amazing comfortable pillow top king size bed. Once you get in bed you will never want to get out. Enjoy our electric fireplace mounted beside the bed. You also have a large flat screen TV mounted on the wall. Wake to views of Mt. Yonah just out the French doors. There is also a full bath down stairs for your convenience. If this has not convinced you to book your reservations, then how does a wonderful hot tub on the private patio overlooking the amazing view sound? There is also a pool table (for entertainment only) downstairs if you like to have a little fun while staying in. On the oversized front porch you can enjoy the gas fire pit while sipping a glass of wine, cup of coffee or sharing stories. When finished, simply turn it off and go about your day or evening. Keep in mind the many places to see and activities offered in Helen that are close by. A few places to visit while you are in Helen is Sautee Nacoochee and when you are here make sure you stop by the Old Sautee Store, built in 1873\. The entrance is like a museum and everything remains in the store as it was when it closed down in the early 1900's. Travel the Georgia Wine Hwy. Take in the Gold Rush town of Dahlonega with just about a 30 minute drive. Of course, Anna Ruby Falls and Unicoi State park are just a 10 miles drive or so to the North side of Helen. There are many water falls in the area including one called Dry Falls, just inside the N.C line. This one is unique in that you can walk behind the waterfall under the rock overhang. Beautiful site! Take time to visit Smithgall Woods and Tallulah Gorge and walk across the swing bridge. Brasstown Bald is the highest point in Georgia. Beautiful! We have provided a complete Picnic Pack for your convenience that is located in the upstairs closet. Take this along with you for the day and enjoy the beautiful sites that the North Georgia Mountains have to offer. Check out georgiatrails com for more suggestions of places to see. You'll want to return for many years This property is about 9 miles from the city of Helen. Please be advised that you are renting a cabin in the woods in the mountains of North Georgia. The décor was so cute—lots of bears and something quaint everywhere I turned, which made it feel extra special. It’s just a short drive from Helen, GA, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to feel peaceful and private. I would 100 percent book this cabin again. All of us are women and cleanliness is vital! This cabin is better than what is shown through pictures. It has all amenities shown such as the hot tub and pool table, but it goes beyond what is mentioned. Forget a toothbrush…that ok brand new ones are provided in the little pouches like you get at a dentist with a small tube of name brand toothpaste. Razors, lotions, plenty of toilet paper, games, iron, ironing board, coffee, and the list goes on. The beds are heavenly. You have privacy in a safe area. Check in and out process was super easy. The cabin was extremely clean!!! The decor fit amazingly! And the owner even left a sweet little welcome gift!!! If I/we ever visit this area again this will be the cabin I rent!!! We were so impressed that the two ladies traveling with me even sent the information to their husbands for a future place to stay!! I am unable to express how perfect this cabin was!! Nice coffee bar provided. Beds were comfortable. Back decks, both levels very inviting, great for relaxing. We did not use the front fire pit but also a plus. Only area for improvement is the a/c is not adjustable in the downstairs bedroom area. Upstairs temperature pleasant but downstairs was very cold. Extra blankets were found to use so that was a help. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully planned to ensure a memorable experience. The host went above and beyond with little touches that truly made our stay special — like the amazing coffee bar stocked with disposable cups, a variety of Tortini sweeteners, creamer, sugar, Splenda and Keurig coffee pods ready for us to use! The attention to detail was impressive — from the high-quality, beautifully stamped toilet paper to the plush robes, the well-stocked pots and pans, and the wine glasses displayed on the bed. The extra spices and thoughtful amenities like comfy beds and outdoor setups on both floors made our stay so relaxing. The cabin itself is stunning — beautifully maintained and thoughtfully decorated.Overall, this was easily the best host we've ever had on Vrbo. We felt welcomed, pampered, and completely at home. My wife loved the decorations. The beds are comfortable, it’s easy to sleep in with the blackout curtains downstairs. We enjoyed sitting on the porch swing listening to the rain and playing pool. Kitchen had everything we needed and loved the coffee bar. Everything is less than 30 minutes away, enjoyed Helen, Clarksville, Cleveland and Dahlonega.
