We were sent to a room totally dirty and smelling cigarettes, specially during the covid situation they should be more aware about their cleaning. The check in receptionist was rude. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for anyone.

After three times they could still not give me a key that worked. I was lied to by the front desk and they never gave me a key that worked. At midnight there were kids running up and down the hallway. I called the front desk 3x and no one answered. I had to deal with the kids. At 2am the parents showed up for the kids and they yelled at each other until 3am. This was the worst hotel stay I have had. Horrible service and management.

USING EXPEDIA to book a room at HOLIDAY INN, Strongsville was a big mistake! The hotel was dirty had no working vending machines or ice machines, nobody answered calls to the front desk , I arrived to find wash clothes on the floor and wasn’t able to get clean ones, one of the beds had obviously not been cleaned.. There appeared to be drug activity in and around the hotel. I arrived late but in the morning I informed the hotel and Expedia of the horrible conditions and told them I did not want to spend a second night under the circumstances and was told that I would have to pay for the two nights it had been reserved. EXPEDIA’s only attempt to rectify the situation was to offer me a $25 Expedia gift card. I did not feel say staying the second night but was forced to pay for it. DO NOT USE EXPEDIA UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO THROW AWAY and don’t care about the safety of you and your family. HORRIBLE!

First, I called the hotel the day before, got a call center in the Philippines and was told that incidental hold was only $50 to find out at the hotel it was $100. Second, check in was lengthy because I had to use two cards, one for the night, one for incidental, because of incorrect info. Also there were two employees, one seemed to be training, so the other employee had to go back n forth between his customers and hers. I feel in this case, another employee should’ve been in the front helping the trainee. Lastly, room was ok except for bathroom. Bathroom is filthy, faucet and shower knobs are all musty and dirty, shower walls not cleaned, and dirty water came out of bathroom sink upon primary usage. Hesitant to take a shower because of this.

We got there at 6:30pm (check-in is 4:00pm) and room was not ready. In fact there were about two dozen travelers throughout the lobby and parking lot whose rooms weren’t ready. Lady at the desk was very rude and didn’t care and couldn’t tell us when rooms will be ready. She handed us a ripped piece of scratch paper to write down our name and phone number for them to call when our room was ready. We got the call at 11:44pm that our room was ready. The guy at the front desk was also rude and didn’t care about the situation. During our five hour wait for our room we socialized with fellow travelers and it became obvious that this happened at the same hotel the previous Friday and had happened prior to that even. This hotel is poorly run at best and the customer service is nonexistent.
