Summary:
Relax + unwind in this boho nature retreat on a quiet street just steps away from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, 6-min drive to the business district on Rockside Rd + 18 min drive to downtown CLE. Comfortably sleeping 10 with 2 bathrooms, this spacious home is great for hikers, business travelers + families with pets. The home features a movie projector, surround sound + wood burning stove in the family room + an incredible backyard with towering trees, nature sightings + a fire pit.

The Space:
The home is filled with natural light and features 4 spacious bedrooms: 2 queen bedrooms, 1 bedroom with twin bunkbeds, and a primary king bedroom with bathroom + office attached. Another full bathroom is available in the hallway for guests to share. The family room features a sofa bed, movie theater projector with local TV and sports channels, and surround sound. The wood burning stove in the family room is available for use. The sunroom sitting area off the entryway offers beautiful views with a breakfast nook nearby. There is a spacious kitchen with modern appliances and a dining room area. Coffee, creamer, and sweetener is included. Bed linens and towels are provided.
There is parking for 4 in the gravel driveway. Washer and dryer included.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire house and yard. There is a keyless entry. Guests are given a code within 48 hours of checking in. Neighboring houses are closeby. There is also a farm behind the house. Please be respectful of neighboring property.

The Neighborhood:
Valley View is a quiet, yet robust, business-friendly community nestled in the scenic Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Along with the Ohio & Erie Canalway Heritage Area, the revitalized Towpath Trail provides excellent walking and biking opportunities for visitors.
Neighboring Independence, OH, Valley View is centrally located between Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and the cities of Cleveland and Akron, providing instant access to Northeast Ohio’s rich and diverse cultural and entertainment venues.
There are plenty of local restaurants and businesses that are happy to serve you in Valley View and the surrounding area.

Getting Around:
A car is helpful when staying at this property. It is the easiest way to access the grocery and convenience stores. Because of its accessibility to CVNP, walking is an option, too, to get to the park! You can also walk along the canal and to the farm nearby. The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is within walking distance of the home and can be taken to other areas of the CVNP. It is easy to find a ride share driver from this location, but would still be easiest to have your own car.

Important Notice:
We want to give you a heads-up about some ongoing road and bridge improvement work along Pleasant Valley Road that will be happening through late 2026.
You might notice some noise from construction and occasional traffic disruptions, but it’s all part of making the area even better for future visitors! While we don’t have specific timing updates, you can check the Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works website for the latest information: Cuyahoga County Public Works.
We’re sharing this in advance to keep things transparent. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility during this time, as we don’t offer refunds for any disturbances related to the construction.

This house is a ranch with one step between additions in the house.
There is no access to the garage. Parking is in the gravel driveway or on the street (free) opposite of the house.
There are security cameras on the outside of the house.
NO PARTIES -- There are ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES, events or large gatherings allowed in the home or on the property. We have neighbors who will notify us of such events, and you will be required to leave immediately with no refund and a negative review will be documented. Extra cleanup from the evidence of a party or large gathering may become subject to a $45 hourly extra cleanup on top of the existing cleaning fee.
NO SMOKING -- There is absolutely no smoking of any kind anywhere on the property (cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, e-cigs, vaping, etc.), and if in violation you will be asked to leave immediately with no refund in addition to a documented negative review.
2 NIGHT MIN -- 2-night minimum. All prebooking questions must be answered to process your reservation. If guest fails to answer any prebooking questions their reservation will be canceled and/or declined.
LOCAL GUESTS -- All local (Cleveland-based) guests must have at least 2+ positive reviews to book this property. Local guests must have a detailed explanation for renting with Airbnb due to past negative experiences with local guests (see the no parties/large gatherings rule).
PROPERTY DAMAGES – Any damaged property must be reported to the host. We understand accidents happen, and please make sure to notify the host/co-host if damage to the property occurs. Replacement fees and/or reimbursement for damaged items may occur if needed.
GUEST PROFILES – All guests must have a complete profile (including verified ID) with a profile picture.
EXTRA GUESTS – All guests on the reservation must be included in the total # (please no unauthorized guests without permission from the host).
Early Check in & Late Check out: We can accommodate up to 2 hours early check in or late check out for a $25/hour fee. Please give us a minimum of 24 hours for this request in order for us to organize our schedule. Thank you!
As a courtesy to our cleaners, any uncleaned vomit and or blood will result in a $100 charge to the guest.
PET FEE: $75 flat fee per pet.

Interaction with Guests:
Guests will have their autonomy in the house. We, a team of expert hosts, are message away if anything is needed or there are questions about the property.

Disappointing

The house was old and not properly equipped for more than 4 people. The rug in the dark bunk room was totally wet & smelled. I contacted the owner who promptly responded but did absolutely nothing about it. We removed the rug & placed it in the “patio”. The kitchen space is small & cramped. There aren’t enough glasses for 5 people! The 2 bathrooms are not equipped for even 5 people. The movie theater setup is outdated & difficult to operate. Overall this house is probably ok for college kids or 3 people at best. The entire house is located in what seems to be in an area the floods. It was not comfortable or well maintained.

Convenient for Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Cleveland

Great place for our family of six for our national park trip. Convenient location for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, but close to civilization for pizza and groceries. Spacious enough for us to spread out. Great communication from the owner. The movie room was great.

House is exactly as pictured. Close to the park and plenty of good restaurant options nearby. Our family of four stayed for three nights. We walked in the Park two of those days. Definitely would stay there again.Owner was extremely responsive.

Cuyahoga plus

The property was conveniently located within a short drive to the ranger station at Cuyahoga National Park as well as restaurants, gas stations, groceries, access to interstates. The TV/projector was a nice amenity for us as a family to watch movies and sports events. We were able to spend some time in the city but had a quiet home in which to relax after full days of seeing the sights.

Fantastic quiet spot

We came with my family for a few days and loved our stay. You feel like you're in the country with wide open back yards and quiet neighbors. The house is well equipped and had everything that we needed. Mark was very responsive on questions and we appreciated the hospitality.

We came in for a guys weekend to take in the NFL Hall of Fame, Rock N Roll Hallof Fame, Guardians game and WWE Summer Slam. The house was perfect and the proximity to everything was great.
