We spent a night at this farmstay, and I can safely say this was the highlight of our trip. Kit and Sheryl are wonderful hosts, warm and hospitable and making sure our stay is enjoyable. Although Kit and Sheryl were busy preparing for the NZ Agricultural Show, Kit still made the time to take us on his truck to his other alpaca farm where we could feed and interact with his alpacas, and he was also very informative about his alpacas and answered so many of our questions patiently. He has a genuine love for his alpacas and it’s such a joy to see. And yes, the alpacas are utterly adorable, not to mention highly intelligent, and it’s interesting to learn about them. The accommodation is also charming and really comfortable. We had a large, spacious cottage to ourselves, it was clean and well-maintained, and the bed and furnishings were extremely comfortable. There are also beautiful flowers in front of our cottage and in the estate garden. Sheryl brought over breakfast items including bread, eggs, cereal, yoghurt, milk and spreads for us in the evening for our breakfast as well, which I think is such a lovely touch. Love the decoration. Fully equipped kitchen. If you op for western breakfast is good. Don't take the asian breakfast, you will be given a packet of instant noodle! An enjoyable farm tour and tne opportunity to hold near newborn Alpaca and up close to the other animals. We had access to all areas of the farm at anytime which we used for morning and evening strolls. Chickens roamed the gardens which gave a real country experience. This was a genuine Kiwi adventure for our Japanese family. The breakfast included fresh farm eggs. 2 days at Sliverstream Alpaca farm gave us one of our greatest family holiday memories. Breakfast was delicious, and we especially enjoyed alpaca kama Nefertiti and her newborn Ramses.
